Talents are divided into seven and they are ranked in this order, White, Blue, Cyan, Epic, Legendary, Heavenly and immortal. White is the lowest possible talent and immortal the highest also known as the cream of the top.
Talents meant how an awakened individual can go far and how his/her power can become supreme and their growth in terms of learning, training and ascending in levels so talent matter and as of now Robert had awakened the worst possible talent.
Robert stood still as he was still in shock over his reality of awakening a trash talent and everywhere was dead silent, that if you drop a pin you would hear it.
"this…can't be…this should…not happen" Robert stammered as he could not accept the fact that he awakened a white talent.
"You may leave now; they are many waiting for their awakening" the man holding the tab said to him with no emotion in his eyes.
Without replying back, Robert turned around to leave and he brought his head down as he could not look at the crowd, his steps were heavy as he was filled with a conflict of emotions as he walked back towards Dominic and Laura with his head down.
On getting to Dominic and Laura, Dominic ran towards Robert who was in a state of shock and confusion.
"Robert just take a breath and calm down" Dominic placed his hands-on Robert's shoulders.
"How…how can this happen to me!!" Robert felt like busting out in tears but he held them back.
"Bro I know this hard but just calm down please" Dominic consoled him.
"Laura your help here will be appreciated here please" Dominic called out to Laura as he knew she will be helpful in this situation or so he thought.
"What sought of help are you talking about!" Laura spoke.
Both boys froze when they heard her, it wasn't her usually sweet voice but something entirely different, this caused Robert to raise his face to look at her and Dominic to turn back and look at Laura.
Standing was Laura with a smile of mockery on her face as she looked at Robert and when they saw her, they both were surprised.
"What did you mean by that Laura?" Dominic asked as he felt confused.
"He-he, who have thought you will turn out be to be a failure, Robert!" She chuckled, one of pure mockery and both boys were taken aback by her words.
"Laura what is the meaning of this" Robert asked with shock as her 180 degree turn of attitude was shocking.
"Laura, how the hell can these words leave you mouth?" Dominic yelled at her.
Her usual angelic smile had disappeared and has been replaced with a twisted smile, one filled with mockery.
"Hm! A failure asks what is the meaning of this? Who would have knew that the guy I suck up to would turn out to be trash" Laura spoke with disdain as her sweet personality had been replaced by a harsh personality and boom, the bomb was dropped, Robert could not believe that Laura was the one saying this.
"Laura, what in God's name is this nonsense you are spitting out?" Dominic yelled at her and Laura walked towards them as they had already drawn attention.
"Huh? Nonsense you say?" She chuckled as she approached both of them.
"That Nonsense am saying is the truth" She smirked as she stood before Dominic.
"Laura what has gotten into you?" Robert managed to speak as emotion welled up inside of him.
"Nothing, just doing the needful by separating myself from a failure and trash like you, who in the future won't be able to protect me or take care of me" Laura grinned
Robert felt like he had been stabbed through the heart, as the girl he thought will be his supporting block in this situation turned out to be the falling block on him.
"Unlike a failure who awakened a trash talent, someone here awakened a supreme talent, one that can't be forgotten" Laura had seductive smile on her face and in her eyes as she looked at Dominic who was in shock over her turn of attitude.
Drawing closer to Dominic with a sultry step she grabbed him by the arm and pressed her full chest against his arm and he was instantly thrown in huge shock over her action.
"Aren't I right dear, a supreme talent you like can't be on the same boat as a trash talent" She said with a seductive smile while Robert watched the events before him with a shocked expression.
"You see Dominic, you are so handsome, strong and talented, I don't really know how I ended up with a trash like him. And you know what this body is all yours if you make me yours" Laura spoke in a seductive manner with a seductive look in her eyes as she pressed her chest against Dominic's arm.
The expression on Dominic's face instantly twisted into anger as he saw Laura's intention.
"Get the heck away from me you slut!!" Dominic yelled angrily at her as he pushed her away from him as his face held an expression of disgust as he looked at her.
Meanwhile Laura was shocked at Dominic's action.
(He pushed me away, how can this be possible?) she could not believe this as she had expected him to be over heels for her after looking at her just like she would expect any other boy to be But, Dominic was different.
She looked at him and to her greatest surprise there was no ounce of lust in his eyes as the look in his eyes was that of firm resolve and anger.
"Oh well, since you blow up your chance to have this body all to yourself suit yourself then, since you have decided to stick to trash, so be it. They are many guys out there who I can suck up because they won't be able to resist this body of mine" Laura still had her seductive look as she spoke with pure disdain.
"Off I go then but if you still interested Dominic, you can come to me anytime" Laura winked to him and looked at Robert with a look of disgust before turning around and walking away.
Robert was shattered to the core as he could not believe Laura would turn out like this, as he saw a side of her he never imagined he will get to witness, she was just a wolf in sheep clothing and robert was lost for words.
"This bitch was just a ticking time bomb ready to blow up any moment" Dominic said with anger as he clenched his fists.
"Who would have known she will turn out like this" Robert managed to speak up.
"Well she will turn out like this when she discovers that your nothing but trash!!" A rude voice suddenly spoke out and this made both boys look at the direction of the voice.
Standing and holding Laura by the waist in an immoral way was a boy with a blonde hair and purple eyes, his handsomeness was something else, a well chiseled jawline and well-groomed eyebrows and Laura was caressing his cheeks and behind him was his lackeys.
When both of them saw this, they were in stupor.
"Laura so this is who you really are! It hasn't even been up to two damn minutes and you have already thrown yourself into another guy's arms!!" Dominic spoke with fury.
"I gave you a chance Dominic, but you refused" Laura chuckled as she planted a kiss on the boy's cheek.
"Robert you see that's how life works, when you become trash nobody gives a damn about you. In this world of ours it's all about talent and wealth without these things, you are a nobody.
You were always the best in class, in mana absorption, sparring classes and general knowledge you exceled in all but now reality has woken you to tell you that you nothing but trash!!" the boy said with disdain towards Robert.
"Owen shut the hell up!!" Dominic yelled at the boy whose name turns out to be Owen.
"Who would have thought a talent like yourself would associate with a trash like him" Owen pointed to Robert as he spoke to Dominic.
"just shut up!!!" Dominic yelled furiously as he clenched his fists and he released his aura which was intense as anger had taken over him.
"Damn a fight is about break out" the students around them gave space as they felt Dominic's aura.
Dominic had already taken a step towards Owen but a hand lands on his shoulder and he turns his head back only to see it was Robert.
"Dominic it's okay, just let it be no need to fight, I am really lucky that there is someone who is willing to stand up for me" Robert forced a smile as he stopped Dominic from making any move.
"But how can I stand and watch them spout rubbish" Dominic protested.
"I know Dominic but let it slide, they can say all they want in end they will go silent, But it can't change the fact that I awaken a trash talent" Robert said to him as emotion welled in his eyes but he held them back.
"BANG"
Without warning something lands close to both of them and dust billows in the air as both boys coughed due to the dust.
"what the heck is that?" Dominic questioned as he coughed.
"Sorry for the rude entrance but Dominic I need to have a word with you" As the dust clears, before them was a man who stood as straight as a spear and his gaze was an intimidating one, he had a black shoulder length hair, deep brown eyes and a pointed nose, also he had a little mustache and a well carved face.
He was clad in a sought of technological armor suit and hung on his back was a huge blade tugged in a black leather sheath something straight out of science fiction and the sheathed blade emitted a cold aura and one would wonder how in the world he manages to move around with such a giant blade behind his back. He boosted a body of well-defined muscles and vigor, a sign of strength and intense training.
Dominic had a shocked look on his face as he saw the man before him and so did the same go for those around them.
"isn't that Charles Valborg, the famous Sword King of the Val family!!" Someone blurted.
"Really is that him, he is so famous especially in the capital" another person spoke with surprise.
"I even heard he took out an entire horde of Rank 5 Obsidian core realm demon beasts all alone" A girl said to a boy by her side.
"I can't believe that the sword king is actually here" Dominic was in stupor as he looked at the man before him.
"Yes, am actually here and my being here was to take in a disciple or student rather as you call it, so that's what I want to have a word with you for" Charles Smiled as he spoke to Dominic
Robert looked at the time on his smartwatch as his face held countless emotions then he looked at Dominic who was discussing with Charles Valborg.
"Dominic, I guess it's time I get going because I have to get Elisa home" Robert forced a smile.
"But why don't you stick around a little bit then we go together" Dominic tried to convince him to stay a little longer.
"Nah with your guest I don't think it's possible" Robert said to him as he turned around to leave.
"Well your friend is right" Charles chimed in.
"Okay then when am done, I will come see ya later" Dominic said to Robert who was already walking away as of right now what Robert needed was to get away from here.
Owen, Laura and his lackeys watched on as Robert walked away and Dominic talking with sword king which was huge shock to them especially Laura who bit her finger, giving the fact that she wasn't able to suck up to Dominic.
"Whatever Robert is a forgone loser anyway, let's get going everyone" Owen said with displeasure as he looked at Robert who was walking away from the academy grounds.
Meanwhile watching silent from within the ground as the events unfolded was the girl with white long hair and green elven eyes, Lisa. Her gaze lingered on the Robert who walked away.
Reaching the exit of the academy, Robert broke down in tears as he could not hold back emotions any more as it is too much for him to bear.
Tears streamed down his cheeks as the events that occurred a few minutes ago replayed in his head, the 180 degree turn of attitude of Laura, the look of mockery on her face and the taunts of Owen. The words of mockery, looks of pity and mockery all replayed in his head
It was a hard reality for him to accept that he awakened a white talent but whether he did or not nothing could change the fact he awakened a trash talent.
"God…why me...why must this happen me" Robert said in tears to himself as this was just unbearable to bear.
"After all the struggle of Mom and my efforts, still yet I become a failure, God Why!!" he sobbed
After a few minutes of crying out his heart's content, he stopped and then wiped the tears of his face.
"There is no use crying but God knowing what you are capable of, I know my story is bound to change one day. The bible says in the book of Matthew, chapter 7 verse 7, it says ask and it will be given unto, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you, so dear God all ask for is a change" Robert said with a smile as he looked up into the sky while clutching a red pendent in the shape of crystal.
"I guess I have to meet up with Elisa fast" Robert looked at the time on his smart phone and off he went as he left the academy.
Standing outside a school gate was a girl whose expression was of that waiting too long, she had a black hair which was a black as night which was currently tied in a pony tail and pink hairpin with flowery designs attached on her hair, she had an oval face and a short pointed nose.
She had purple eyes which looked so beautiful and mesmerizing that one would hardly look away as her eyes were charming and she had light pink lips which looked soft and tender, she was also fair in complexion, a fair maiden one would say.
She held a teenage body figure with everything been perfect and at average and she was a work of pure beauty as the creator must had taken his time during her creation.
She was on school uniform which fitted her perfectly, the shirt was a long sleeve and it was white and the skirt was blue. The skirt fell below her knees and she wore a red tie with white long socks, her dressing was outstanding and they were other students leaving the school as flocks of students on the same uniform as her exited through the gate.
Her presence drew attention as the male students stole glances at her and the girls admiring her, then two girls walked up to her.
"Hey Elisa" One of the girls called out to her.
"Hi Zoe" the girl named Elisa greeted the girl whose name was Zoe. The girl had a short blonde hair which reached her shoulder and light blue eyes, on her lips was a red lipstick which she applied and she had a small nose which complemented her face perfectly. She had huge blossoms and a nice figure eight body.
A sweater was tied around her waist and her skirt was above knees shorter than what it was supposed to be as one could not miss a look at her thighs and she wore black long socks which gave her a more seductive look.
Her beauty was outstanding but not as anywhere close to the beauty queen Elisa who had a smile on her face which even busted her beauty more, but one extraordinary feature of Zoe was her pointy ears which made it clear that she was an elf.
"Looks like you waiting for a taxi, why don't you hitch a ride with us in Kelvins Truck, huh" Zoe asked with a smile as she pointed her thumb backward towards two boys on the school uniform meters away behind them.
"I really appreciate your offer but, I am waiting for someone" Elisa replied with a smile.
"Com'on girl a ride in kelvin's truck would be nice don't you think" The other girl beside said to her.
"Elisa, also the ride would be smooth and you would get home on time aren't I right?" Zoe convinced her and Elisa was lost in a conflict of thoughts.
(Should I go with them or Just wait for brother but it he might not come on time given the fact that today is the awakening day? but going with them means getting home on time, right? But going with them) She thought to herself as she looked at the girls before her and the two boys waiting by a 4x4 off-road jeep.
"So, Elisa what do say?" Zoe asked her.
"I was kinda waiting for my brother" She said to Zoe
"You could send a text to him telling him you took a lift" Zoe told her as she placed her hands over Elisa's shoulders.
"Well…I guess could use a lift" Elisa spoke slowly.
"Then what are you waiting for, let's go then" Zoe grabbed her by the arm and pulled her as they three walked up towards the boys.
"Well, well if isn't the angel from the heavens; Elisa girl" One of the boys with a blonde curly short hair and amber eyes said to Elisa.
"You flatter me Kelvin, am no angel but just an ordinary human like you" Elisa said with a smile to him.
"How can you say that, l mean you are a goddess from above" he smiled.
"Hey Kelvin cut it we need to get going" Zoe said to him.
"Alright everyone let's hop in" Kelvin said to them and with the press of his car key the jeeps doors opened automatically.
This made Elisa have a look of awe and surprise, such tech vehicle was something the rich could only afford and that was Kelvin who comes from a wealthy family. The jeep felt straight out of science fiction movie as its design was high tech.
"isn't his truck so nice" Zoe said to Elisa who was still in surprise.
"I guess it's your first time entering a vehicle a like this right?" the other girl asked Elisa.
"Yeah" Elisa replied with a flustered look as it felt embarrassing.
Before getting in to the truck, Elisa brought out her phone and sent a text to Robert before getting into the truck with Zoe and the rest.
Robert was meters away from reaching Elisa's School when his eyes caught sight of Elisa entering a black truck with her friends.
"ELISA!!" Robert called out as he ran forward but unfortunately, she didn't hear and then the jeep zoomed off before he could get there.
"Damnit" Robert placed both his hands on his head as he watched the truck zoom further and further but at that moment he gets a notification on his phone and he hastily checks it out and finds out it was a message from her, Elisa and he read the text.
"Looks like she could not wait anymore" Robert said as he ran his hand through his hair and sighing.
"Well looks like am walking alone" He said to himself as he looked towards the beautiful Azure sky filled with white clouds and birds soaring through the sky.
Meanwhile in a busy district a mile from the area of Elisa's s school and their location, the district was full of lively activities, Buildings and shops lined the road as the was flow of vehicles on the road and inflow and outflow of people from the buildings and shops.
People moved to and fro as everyone had a place to go, some people were shopping or either taking pictures of the beautiful structures around them, the air was filled with peace and harmony but that was about to change in the span of a few minutes.
Above the road, suddenly there was distortion in air which was unnoticed at first and then a crack appeared and it began to expand and the sound was like glass shattering.
The motorists were taken by surprise by such phenomenon and this caused many drivers to hold their brakes with full force, the screeching of tires where held as motorists had to stop their vehicles in full force, vehicles stopped before the crack.
The crack kept expanding, onlookers were shocked beyond belief as they saw this event manifesting before them.
With an aggressive burst of energy, the crack expanded to its required size, the burst of energy cracked and destroyed the parts of the road, cars and debris were tossed in the air and some landed into some buildings and windows of buildings were shattered due to the energy burst.
People screamed as the Energy busted forward as many ducked down as destruction occurred around them.
The crack was now large and it glowed red an eerie sight for one to look at and when the people saw this the expression on their faces turned to that of dread.
"it's a rift break" Someone yelled out as he took to his heels and when the others heard they were brought back to reality and everyone took to their heels and the scene ensued into chaos as people ran in all directions.
Some unlucky people were trampled on and children were separated from their parents, some motorists tried to move their vehicles but crashed into other vehicles, the scene was chaotic.
And from within the crack was a war chant from creatures unknown and stepping out of the Crack was an army of goblins and orcs whose gaze were menacing and furious as they looked at the fleeing humans.
This weren't you average Orcs and goblins that you may think of, these guys were all humanoid and they were clad in iron armor.
Leading them was an Orc warlord who rode on a wolf like beast and held in his right hand was large blade made of iron whose craft was outstanding.
Looking at the feeling crowd, the Orc warlord had a look of hate and viciousness in his eyes and he pointed his blade forward, a signal for his army to attack and with a mighty war chant from his army they charged forward like raging beasts.
Goblin shamans, Orcs and Goblins riding on wolf like creatures and winged beasts which looked like a fusion between a drake and a wyvern all charged forward and more still coming out of the rift.
The army of orcs and goblins charged forward destroying anything in their path and killing every unlucky person in brutal ways, it was complete mayhem.
Meanwhile Robert was walking as he was lost in thoughts as the events that occurred earlier in replayed in his head like a video tape, remembering it made him grit his teeth in anger and clench his fists then there was a non-stop beeping from his phone.
"What the heck is it now" With a groan, Robert looked at his phone saw a notification when he read through it his eyes widened shock.
[Alert! Alert!! Alert!! We urge every citizen in creek core district to find underground safehouse shelters immediately for there has been a rift break of the red class in the area. We urge every awakened individual nearby to rush to the aid of the people. God help you all, Amen]
The look on Robert's face changed instantly as dread washed over him on the serious of the situation, one bad event was enough for the day but two!! for Christ sake it was a Rift break, a dreaded disaster.
The look was plastered on the faces of other people around Robert as fear had gripped them as they realized the severity of the situation and then warning sirens were set off as they sounded all over the entire district in this part of the city.
Everyone was thrown in a panic and everyone took to their heels as they ran back in the bid to find an underground safehouse which were built in case of such disasters like this and the scene turned to chaos as it was every man for himself.
Robert just stood still as his brain tried to process the situation at hand and looking all around as people fled even cars were abandoned.
"Wait a sec, Elisa and her friends will be up ahead" the moment it crossed his mind, Robert was gripped with fear as he knew they were in danger and as he raised his gaze forward he could see black smokes raising in the distance and that made him know, they will be in harm's way.
Seeing the people running past him, he gritted his teeth as the decision he would make now determines his survival and that of his Sister, the question was to go and save her or run.
He had two choices to make no other option to take just these two options for him to choose from in this situation even if he had awakened, a red class rift break was no joke.
"To hell with a red class rift break, Elisa am coming to get you" he clenched his fists as he made his choice and forward he ran as he took off as the goal on his mind was saving his sister first as phone calls weren't able to through and wouldn't do much.
Meanwhile.
A loud music plays in Kelvin Jeep as they are stuck in traffic.
"So, Elisa I heard that your brother's awakening is today right?" Zoe asked
"Yeah" Elisa answered
"Wow that's incredible" Zoe had an expression of awe
"So, Elisa yeah chanced this week cuz on Friday there's gonna be a party at my house" Kelvin spoke with a grin on his face as his eyes scanned Elisa's body, who was unaware of his gaze.
"Nope I won't" Elisa replied as she felt uncomfortable and the loud music adding to her unease.
"Com'on Elisa, the party is gonna fun trust me" Kelvin said as he set his aim on convincing her.
"Don't you think the music is a little too loud?" Elisa said to Kelvin as she placed his word aside.
"I think she's right Kelvin" Zoe chimed in.
"Nah it's just perfect, one of the best phonk" the other boy spoke up as he nodded his head to the beat of the music, he wore a baseball cap.
"Mike's got the idea" Kelvin smiled
Meanwhile they were unaware of what was going on around them as up ahead they were multiple explosions, cars were flung in the air, fireballs the size of boulders crashed in buildings and landed on the road exploding with deadly force as the army of goblins and orcs charged furiously forward and people fleeing.
With a trailer blocking their view, Elisa and the rest could not make up of what was going on ahead and there were people fleeing past the jeep who were even unnoticed by them as they were engaged in discussion and with the music that played even the emergency alert on their phones was not given attention.
"Wow kelvin so you are having a party at your house?" The other girl asked.
"Yep, at the mansion and shelly you are invited too especially Zoe and Elisa but it's too bad Elisa isn't gonna be there" Kelvin answered Shelly which was the third girl's name.
"So, Shelly what do you think about my proposal last time hm?" Mike asked with a smile on his face and shelly blushed.
"Hey I smell something fishy" Zoe grinned as she looked straight at Shelly.
"Don't you guys find it weird that traffic isn't moving at all?" Elisa said to them all.
"I think she's right" Zoe found it weird too
Then Elisa decided to take out her phone and that's when she saw the emergency alert notification on her phone and her pupils shrunk as she read the message.
"kelvin I guess the party at your place is gonna be..." before Mike could finish his words and for Elisa to alert them all, the front left door of jeep where mike was seated was ripped opened apart and everyone was shocked as the jeep's door was ripped apart.
"What the heck!!" Mike was shocked
Standing outside was an Orc whose green skin bulged with muscles and veins and clad in iron armor from head to toe, its exhaled mist from its mouth as it growled and its presence was terrifying and dangerous, looking at the teenagers menacing with blood lust in its eyes
The expression on everyone's face was replaced with complete dread as their faces became ashen white as they saw the orc standing outside whose presence was deadly and everyone was frozen in fear.
In a split second count the orc launched the spear in its hand towards Mike who was frozen in fear.
With a piercing sound the spear went through Mike's chest and Mike's pupils constricted in shock as the attack was lighting fast. holding the spear, the Orc grinned and twisted the spear which was currently stabbed in Mike's chest and he let out a painful dying scream and he vomited blood.
Shelly let out a scream of terror as they looked at the brutal scene before them, Kelvin was trembling with fear and sweating that he even peeped on his pants, Zoe and Elisa were unable to even scream as the scene they just witness was far too brutal.
Gripping the spear tightly, the Orc used the spear to pull out Mike from the car and his blood spilled on everyone as he was pulled out forcefully and with a swing the orc used the spear to lunch his body in the air and Mike's lifeless body landed on a vehicle nearby.
Elisa's was frozen with shock as she looked the scene before her as it was something, she never believed she would get to experience and Zoe trembled in fear as she looked at the orc.
Suddenly another orc smashes the window of the driver's seat with its hand and grabs Kelvin by the neck.
Kelvin began to gasp for air desperately as the orc gripped his neck tightly even to the extent that foam began coming out from his mouth as he was choked and with a powerful pull, Kelvin's head was separated from his body with brute force and his blood spilled all over.
The girls watched in horror as the orc tore off kelvin's head and blood pumping non-stop from his neck and staining their uniforms.
This was taking the front row seat in a horror movie; Elisa was in complete shock as she witnessed this grim scene.
Then the left passage door of jeep was suddenly sliced in two with a freaking blade which cut through the metal like hot knife slicing through butter.
Shelly screamed in fear as the door was sliced in half as she was seated on left back passage seat and then a pair of green hands held the split opening and with a mighty push the split opening was expanded and metal was crushed against each as this force was inhumane.
Doing this was a goblin, who was six feet tall, had green eyes, black short hair and was clad in full iron armor and landed its gaze on the terrified girls and smirk curved on its lips.
"Wow…Wow, who would imagine that we come across such beautiful human girls and they is even an elf among them how fortunate" The goblin spoke in deep cold voice, yep this weren't your average goblin these guys were on another whole level.
The goblin instantly grabbed Shelly by the leg.
"Let me go" Shelly kicked her other leg at the goblin but the goblin just caught her leg and with a grin on its face, the goblin pulled shelly out of the vehicle and threw her to two other goblins standing behind him.
Shelly tried to struggle but to no avail as the two goblins held her firmly as her struggle was useless.
An orc ripped the other passenger door and grabbed Zoe and Elisa and bringing them out, because of the shock of the things going now, Elisa could not find the strength to struggle while Zoe tried her best but nah it was futile struggle.
They both were also handed over to two goblins who held them down and bringing them on their knees.
"Let go of me you monsters, let go!!" Shelly shouted at the two goblins holding her as she struggled more.
"She's quit a noise, you can play with her how you see fit" the goblin who pulled shelly out said with a sly grin and the two other goblins on hearing this, a wicked grin curved on their lips and they looked at shelly precisely her body.
When Shelly saw the looks on their faces, she trembled in fear and then one of the goblins pulled her by her hair and then the unthinkable happened, they began ripping her clothes apart. When Elisa and Zoe saw this, the expression on their faces changed.
