Chapter 8 - Quarrel

Heavy rain poured outside. The smell of gunpowder and smoke still hung over the mansion, now nearly in ruins. Alaska stood amid the debris, breathing heavily, his black clothes soaked with rain and blood.

"Boss, Alana isn't in the northern area! All CCTV are down!" Kenan's voice came through the communicator. "We only found a black car fleeing toward the old pier."

Alaska clenched his fists, restraining his anger.

"Rave took her to the same place six years ago…" His voice was low and icy. "He wants to repeat history."

"Are you sure you want to attack alone again, Boss?" Kenan asked. "It's a trap."

"Exactly because it's a trap, I'm going," Alaska replied.

At the Old Dock Warehouse

Alana woke up in an iron chair, her hands bound. Her head was heavy, but her ears still caught the muffled conversation.

"Boss Rave, this girl is stubborn. She shows no fear," one of Rave's men reported.

"Good," Rave replied, gazing at Alana with calculating eyes. "I like stubborn ones. Usually, they make the most interesting weapons."

Alana glared. "You think threats like that will scare me?"

"Not threats, darling," Rave smiled faintly. "Just an offer. Help me take down Alaska, and I'll let you live."

"Alaska will never lose to someone as petty as you," Alana shot back. "You don't know how strong he really is…!"

"Oh, I know," Rave interrupted, his voice low. "I made him the monster he is."

Flashback Alaska's Past

Rave stared at the damp warehouse walls, while Alana listened silently.

"He used to be my pupil. Smart, quick to learn, stubborn. I taught him to lead, to threaten, to kill without hesitation."

Rave looked at Alana again.

"Until he refused my order to kill his own brother, taken hostage by enemies."

Alana held her breath. "Aksa…?"

"Yes," Rave smiled cruelly.

"And since then, Alaska became my enemy. But I know his weakness love. And you… are proof."

On the Way to the Pier

Alaska and Bumi rode in a black unmarked car. Rain blurred the view, but Alaska's eyes stayed fixed on the dock.

"You sure she's still there, Boss?" Kenan checked his weapon.

"Rave never moves his execution sites," Alaska replied calmly. "He likes playing with old memories."

"And you like playing with death," Kenan muttered.

Alaska glanced at his friend. "This time is different, Ken. I'm not losing again."

Inside the Warehouse

Rave circled Alana, still tied up.

"You know, Alaska killed dozens just to find your location. But in the end, it will all end in ruin," Rave said.

"If you think I'll believe you, you're wrong," Alana glared. "He's not perfect. But I know he's not as evil as you."

Rave chuckled darkly.

"Funny. You really love that monster, don't you?"

Before Alana could answer, the warehouse doors burst open. Bullets sliced the air.

"LET HER GO!" Alaska's voice thundered.

Rave turned slowly, smiling.

"Ah… my pupil has arrived."

Alaska stepped in, pistol in his right hand, knife in his left. Bumi spread out, blocking Rave's men. A brief but violent battle erupted bullets, clashing metal, and rain merging into chaos.

Reunion of Old Enemies

Rave and Alaska faced each other.

"You're alive because of revenge, Alaska," Rave sneered.

"But that same revenge will destroy you."

"Unlike you," Alaska said coldly.

"I live because someone taught me the meaning of fearing loss."

"Alana?" Rave glanced at the girl.

"You think she can heal your wounds? She's the new wound you'll create."

Alaska lowered his pistol and stepped forward.

"Try touching her. See who falls first."

A brutal hand to hand fight broke out. Every strike Alaska delivered carried guilt, rage, and hidden love.

Rave eventually fell but managed a sly smile.

"You think this is the end, Alaska? Look behind you…"

Alaska turned quickly Alana was standing, holding a pistol aimed at Rave.

"You've made others suffer enough," Alana's voice trembled, but her eyes were resolute.

"Now it's your turn to be afraid."

She fired a shot. The bullet flew, but instead of hitting Rave, it struck the iron chain holding a lamp above.

The massive lamp crashed to the floor between Alaska and Rave. Smoke and sparks clouded the view.

When it cleared, Rave was gone.

Aftermath

Alaska approached Alana, holding her face gently, though his hands were covered in blood.

"You… are crazy, huh?" he panted.

"You taught me to be crazy," Alana replied with a small, tearful smile.

"And I'll protect that madness for the rest of my life," Alaska whispered.

They stood in the pouring rain, among debris and the scent of gunpowder, unaware that someone was watching from afar Kenan, face serious, eyes filled with secrets.

"It's time you know, Boss," he murmured.

"Rave isn't the only shadow from your past."
