Chapter Start
Jay woke up to the sound of his phone ringing.
Still half-asleep, he grabbed it and answered.
"Jay, a cave has opened nearby," a voice reported from the other side.
Jay paused for a moment.
Should I go…?
Memories of his battle with Varkhion flashed through his mind — the giant serpent, the blood army, the awakening of the Blood Slayer.
He exhaled.
"Alright. I'm coming."
He ended the call and started getting ready.
Just then, his sister stepped into the room.
"Where are you going this early?"
Jay froze.
He remembered a voice from his past —
"You can't tell anyone about this job anymore."
He forced a smile.
"I… got a job in a new company."
Her eyes widened.
"Really?! Jay, that's amazing!"
"Yeah," he replied quietly, then walked out of the house.
Meeting Arjun
On the way, Jay dialed Arjun.
"A cave has appeared. Come with me."
Arjun sighed. "You never call for normal things, do you? Fine, I'm coming."
They met near the cave entrance, where several other hunters were already waiting.
A boy glanced toward them.
"So you two were the last ones."
A girl stepped forward and said,
"Your name and power level?"
Jay handed over his card.
"Jay… power level 15?" she read aloud.
Jay simply nodded.
"Yeah."
Leader's Order
Their team leader arrived — a tall man with sharp eyes.
"Everyone, listen carefully. I'm Amar, your team leader. Our mission is to inspect the depth of this cave. Don't make any mistakes."
The group entered the cave.
But after a few steps…
The air changed. A strange pressure fell over them.
Amar's eyes widened.
"Everyone, get out! NOW!"
Before anyone could react, the cave entrance slammed shut, trapping them inside.
Amar cursed.
"Anyone with power below 20, move behind—"
His words were cut off as monsters burst out from the darkness, screeching and lunging at the hunters.
"Forget what I said earlier!" Amar shouted. "Just survive!"
Screams echoed throughout the cave as demons tore through the team.
The leader yelled again,
"No matter what happens, protect the weaker ones!"
Jay Steps Forward
Jay clenched his fists.
"Everyone… step back."
Amar's expression hardened.
"Jay, don't do anything stupid!"
Jay glared at him.
"Just shut up."
He walked toward a demon and, with a single slash, cut it in half.
Everyone froze.
Jay spoke calmly,
"Whatever happens next… don't tell anyone if you want to live."
He raised his hand and whispered—
"Summon… Blood Army." The Blood Army Appears
The entire cave trembled.
Crimson cracks split the ground, and blood-red armored soldiers erupted from beneath the surface, standing behind Jay like an army of silent executioners.
Everyone watched in horror.
The same girl whispered,
"I knew… he wasn't a normal human."
Jay pointed forward.
"Kill them all."
The Blood Army surged like a tidal wave, tearing apart every demon in their path.
Screams. Steel. Blood.
The cave shook with violence.
The Boss Demon Appears
Then the ground cracked again.
A massive demon stepped out, its eyes glowing purple.
"This aura… This is the aura of a demon," it growled, staring at Jay.
Jay smirked.
"So you're the boss."
He dashed forward, Blood Slayer in hand.
The demon roared, swinging its claws. Jay dodged, leapt, and brought his blade down.
One slash.
Two slashes.
Three.
The demon crumbled into dust.
Silence in the Cave
Everyone remained frozen.
Amar stared at Jay, his voice trembling.
"You… who are you?"
Jay didn't answer.
He simply looked at the rising red dust of his Blood Army dissolving into the air — like smoke from another world.
The cave fell silent.
