Chapter Start
Blood splattered across the cracked pavement as a towering demon lifted a helpless man by the neck.
With a sick grin, the demon whispered,
"Your world… belongs to us now."
One brutal strike — and silence filled the street.
Screams echoed everywhere. Smoke covered the skies.
Dhruv Arrives
The scene cuts sharply to Dhruv, sprinting through the ruined city streets, his sword glowing with a blazing silver aura.
"Twenty-five years…" he muttered, anger tightening his jaw.
"For the first time in twenty-five years, demons have attacked the human world.
Seventy-two hunters dead… and countless civilians gone."
A demon lunged at him.
Dhruv sliced it cleanly in half.
Another beast attacked from behind —
but before it could touch him, a flash of steel appeared.
Arjun landed beside Dhruv, taking down two demons at once.
Dhruv raised an eyebrow.
"You okay?"
Arjun panted. "Yeah… barely."
Together, they stood back-to-back as dozens of demons surrounded them.
Forming a Team
Their comms activated with a crackling sound.
"All hunters must operate in two-member teams from now on."
Dhruv turned to Arjun.
"Work with me?"
Arjun nodded. "Yeah."
Dhruv held out his hand.
"I'm Dhruv."
Arjun froze.
"W-wait… THE Dhruv? Head of the Devil Slayer Team Dhruv!?"
Dhruv smirked. "The same."
A powerful aura suddenly surged through the air.
Both of them felt it.
Heavy. Dark. Ancient.
"That direction," Dhruv said, pointing.
Both raced forward.
Devil Slayer Team Joins In
On their way, they came across two more members of the Devil Slayer Team —
a serious-looking boy wielding twin daggers, and a red-haired girl with blazing fire magic.
Introductions were quick.
The battlefield didn't allow much time for talking.
Soon, all four of them were fighting side-by-side, their movements sharp and perfectly coordinated.
Demons fell like raindrops.
Just when it looked like they had control—
The Demon Searching for Jay
A massive shadow stepped forward.
A demon, twice the size of the others, with horns dripping black blood and eyes glowing like fire.
Its aura was so overwhelming that the ground cracked beneath its feet.
Everyone froze.
The demon looked directly at them and spoke in a deep, echoing voice:
"You… who among you is Jay Verma?"
Dhruv narrowed his eyes.
"We don't know who you're talking about."
Arjun, trembling slightly, whispered,
"M-my friend… his name is Jay."
The demon grinned.
In a flash, it grabbed the red-haired girl from the team and hurled her across the street like a ragdoll.
Dhruv and the dagger-boy charged toward it —
but a single punch from the demon sent both of them flying through a wall.
Arjun tried to run forward, but the demon appeared behind him instantly.
Before Arjun could react —
it slammed him against the ground again and again until he blacked out.
The demon stepped back.
"All of you are weak," it growled.
"Bring me… Jay Verma."
The Sky Turns Red
Just then —
the wind shifted.
The air trembled.
The clouds above split open with a blinding red glow.
A massive surge of power swept across the battlefield.
Everyone — even the demons — looked up.
A figure descended from the sky, surrounded by swirling red light.
His aura shook the earth.
His presence silenced everything.
It was Jay.
Eyes glowing.
Soulrender strapped on his back.
Blood energy swirling around him like a storm.
He wasn't running.
He wasn't hiding.
He was here to fight.
