Idra used his frozen claws, an ebatix that dealt physical damage to his opponent. His ice element sharpened his claws. Heat dodged his first attack using the element of speed. Moments passed, and Idra's frozen claw attacks became faster.
The claws slashed Heat multiple times over, scratch marks all over Heat's body. He backed away and used his element of shadow to enter Idra's shadow. He hid in Idra's shadow and waited patiently. Idra scanned his surroundings and didn't spot Heat.
Heat pounced out of his shadow and struck him with a lightning bolt. Idra was paralyzed from the lightning attack.
"Now is my chance," Heat thought.
Heat sparked his magic elemental energy. He activated a release spell to release Idra from the mind control.
Idra collapsed. Tsatume was deactivated. A few seconds later, he regained consciousness.
"What happened?" Idra asked, his voice lower than usual.
"You were under tsatume. Tosuba cast it on you earlier, and you fought me like a crazy xtro."
"I'm sorry. I caused you a lot of trouble," Idra said, feeling down.
"Don't worry. I'll heal both of us. It's getting late. Let's set up camp on Mount Estyna," Heat said, his voice with a hint of humor.
"How are we going to camp out here? We don't have tents or food," Idra pointed out.
Heat remarked, "You worry too much. I have a plan. Just sit back and relax. After I set up camp, I'll heal our wounds."
The day turned into night. Heat used his plant life and fire elements to start a campfire. He created two houses. The houses weren't as big as throne rooms. The inside of the houses was spacious. Rocks covered the outside and inside. Wood also made up the roof. Their beds were made of feathers.
"See, I'm done. It only took a second," Heat said.
Idra asked, "What about the food?"
Heat took one feather from his wing, and the feather slowly landed on the ground. The feather transformed into different fruits and berries.
"Wow! That's amazing," Idra said, his eyes glowing with surprise.
They sat at the campfire. Their stomachs were filled with fruits and berries. Heat started asking, "Idra, can you tell me why the Nogazu duo called you a monster?"
Idra relayed, "Me and the Nogazu duo were training to be the elites of the Dragon Kingdom. Our skills impressed the Breamo leaders of our kingdom. Out of the three of us, I was the strongest one. But the elders of our kingdom decided to choose the Nogazu duo as the elites of the main kingdom."
"Okay, what made them change their decision?" Heat asked, his mind sounding clueless.
Idra detailed, "King Jaka conducted a private investigation that changed a lot of things. During his investigation, he found the true intentions of the Nogazu duo. Tosuba used tsatume on the elders. She mind-controlled them into choosing the Nogazu duo instead of me."
"So she made the elders of your kingdom choose them over you? I didn't expect that," Heat said, his attention hooked on Idra's story.
Idra continued his explanation, "After King Jaka found out their secret, he banished them from our kingdom. As months turned into years, the Nogazu duo started absorbing emyiko energy from xtros."
"Wow, that story was great. I never thought you had such a story with you," Heat said. "Idra, the past shouldn't hold you back, but rather it should help you become stronger. Trust me. I accepted my past, and I want to make my future brighter than my past. You should consider doing the same."
"It's late. I'm going to sleep. Remember to heal your injuries,"
Idra said as he went into one of the houses to sleep.
Heat entered his own house to heal his wounds and rest his eyes.
The campfire outside burned until ash remained. The sun rose, and a new day came to life. They woke up and welcomed the sun's smile.
