"I don't cook. I go to a Michelin restaurant and have my daily meals there. "
"I tend to cook for myself. What do you have in the fridge that I can use to cook?
"Nothing. You can wait for tomorrow so that you can go and buy things that you want to use to cook. "
"So what was I going to find in the kitchen if I were to go there?"
"Fruits."
"I am not a vegetarian, Claire."
"I have eaten a fruit salad and I am full."
Hunter goes to the kitchen and found there were fruits in the fridge. He makes himself the fruit salad and eats it. He goes to the living room and finds that Claire was gone. He had removed his PS5 and had it connected to the television and played some games then went back to their bedroom. He gets in and find Claire in the still reading the book that he found her reading in the living room.
"What are you reading that much?"
"It's a business book by Allan McCoy. He was a great business man. "
"So you want to be the best business lady too?"
"What do you think? There is a quilt in the closet, take it and you know what to do next. "
"Hunter picks the quilt and spreads it on the floor and sleeps on it. He was tired after waiting for Claire at the company. The good things was that the next day was a weekend, so he would just sleep till afternoon and then go to the Vixt Basketball court. He drifted off to sleep almost immediately he laid down.
Claire heard him breathing steadily. She turned to look at him sleeping. He was looking very cute. His jawline was quite perfect. His facial features were also quite good. She inwardly thanked Hannah for picking him. She put down her book and also drifted off to sleep.
The Next Afternoon,
Hunter woke up at afternoon. It was his usual time to wake up during the weekend. He stretched himself first then picked the quilt he was sleeping on folded it and returned it back to the closet. He went and took a shower and changed into a pair of Bermuda shorts and a blue T-shirt. He took a pair of Jordan shoes.
He was in the staircase and heard laughs and people talking. He recognised two voices one that belonged to Hannah and the other to Claire. He did not recognise the third one . He went to the living room and saw a smile on Claire's mouth. Claire saw him and her smile faded instantly.
"You look better with a smile planted on your face. "
"Good afternoon to you too, Hunter. " Hannah said.
"Who is she?"
"She is Renee Jesse."
"CEO to the Holdings company. "
"You know her?"
"Yes. "
"How do you know her?" Claire asked.
