The Northwest is a broad term encompassing several provinces and autonomous regions.
Su Qing's destination this time was Xinjiang Province.
The plane flew directly to Xiyuan City, the capital of Xinjiang Province.
After a flight lasting several hours, they arrived at their destination at eleven o'clock on June 25th.
"I should be the first Leopard to ever fly. It's worth it, even if I die," the Leopard sighed.
Su Qing looked down on this country bumpkin.
As soon as he walked out of the airport, he saw someone holding up a sign with his name on it, there to pick him up.
"Hello," Su Qing walked over.
The man was terrified, "Hello, Director Su. I've heard so much about you. It's an honor to meet you. My boss has already booked a banquet. Shall we go now?"
"Alright, thank you for your trouble," Su Qing smiled slightly.
"No trouble at all, it's what I should do. I'm the boss's driver, you can just call me Xiao Wu."
Xiao Wu was very excited. After all, Su Qing, who had successfully retrieved the national treasure, was now an idol for many young people.
Half an hour later, the car stopped in front of a private restaurant, and Xiao Wu led Su Qing inside.
They went through a series of twists and turns to reach a private room.
After delivering Su Qing, Xiao Wu left.
Su Qing opened the private room and saw Wang Hai, who he had met in London. Wang Hai was dressed in a suit.
"Director Su, it's good to see you again." Wang Hai rose with a warm smile and shook hands with Su Qing.
From his participation in the auction to bid on the snake head, it was clear he was a very patriotic person, so his favor for Su Qing was through the roof.
Su Qing also smiled, "It's really troublesome of you, Brother Wang, to take the time to entertain me."
He had checked some information about Wang Hai beforehand. Wang Hai's Xinjiang Food Company sold mutton, and the business was huge, exporting to various countries, with assets in the hundreds of millions.
Soon, the waiter began to serve the dishes, all of which were Northwest specialties, and each plate was bigger than the last.
"You've eaten all sorts of delicacies, I won't go for those superficial things. These are all our local specialties, try them." Wang Hai said with a hearty laugh.
Su Qing picked up his chopsticks, and the taste was really good, praising it again and again. The two toasted each other and talked about everything under the sun.
The Leopard was drooling, but unfortunately, it could only watch the two men eat, unable to do anything.
This is the most painful torture in the world.
Humans are too cruel, too greedy!
After a few rounds of drinks and dishes, Wang Hai brought up the main topic: "Is President Su here in the Northwest for business?"
"I wouldn't need to come personally for business. I'm here to experience the Northwest's scenery, and I heard there are Leopard skins for sale here?" Su Qing lowered his voice.
Wang Hai chuckled upon hearing this: "So President Su is also fond of these things? However, with the serious Poaching in recent years, the number of Leopards has drastically decreased. On top of that, the authorities are cracking down, so it's become very difficult to get them."
"No matter how difficult, Brother Wang surely has a way, right? Just help me inquire about it." Su Qing raised his glass.
Now that Leopards are increasingly rare, as long as he could find out who was selling Leopard skins, it would be easy to find the Poachers and then send them to hell.
Wang Hai clinked glasses with him and drank it all: "Alright, it's difficult for ordinary people, but for us, it's nothing. I'll ask around for you."
"Brother Wang, I heard that poachers are really vicious," Su Qing asked casually.
Wang Hai said seriously, "These people are even more ruthless than bandits. Bandits might not kill, but seven or eight out of ten long-term poachers have blood on their hands."
After dinner, Wang Hai had his driver take Su Qing to the hotel and left him a car for daily use.
In the following days, Su Qing drove the car Wang Hai had given him around Xiyuan City, waiting for news.
On the third night, Wang Hai called.
"Brother, I've found out that a poaching team has gotten five Leopard skins and is heading out of the Desert. They should be out tomorrow. I'll contact you then." Wang Hai had put a lot of effort into finding this information because Leopards are so hard to find.
Hearing Wang Hai's voice on the phone, the Leopard's soul trembled, its eyes bloodshot: "It's definitely them! My... my wife, my three children... exactly five skins! Kill them! Kill them!"
"Alright, Brother Wang, I'll talk to you later." Su Qing patted the Leopard's head to comfort him, hung up the phone, and then said, "Lead the way, we're going into the Desert."
Must deal with those despicable poachers in the vast desert. That way, it's less likely anyone will find out.
Didn't they kill an old herdsman who witnessed their poaching to silence him?
Then, send them to repent before him.
Roar! The Leopard roared.
Avoiding the surveillance with the speed of the wind, Su Qing quickly ran out of the city, led by the Leopard.
North of Xiyuan City, in the vast desert.
Taking advantage of the cool night temperature, six figures carrying large bags and packs were hurrying along.
They were a group of poachers, in the business for seven or eight years, their footprints spanning most of Xia Country.
They had settled in the Northwest for the past two years, and in their years of operation, they had killed many animals, and not a few people.
"Brother Zhai, is someone really going to buy those five Leopard skins?" a middle-aged man with dark skin asked.
The leader, a middle-aged man with a gloomy expression, chuckled. "Bullshit, I just got off the phone, you didn't hear it? They say it's a big boss."
His name was Zhai Weijun, and he was the leader.
"Damn, it wasn't in vain that we killed someone for those five Leopard skins, not a loss." Another person laughed.
"Five Leopard skins, and so many other things, we can wash our hands after this."
"We should wash our hands, the environment is getting stricter, this business is getting harder, it's easy to get caught if we keep doing it."
"Yeah, we've got murder on our hands. Any one of those charges, and we're getting shot."
The group murmured amongst themselves, all thinking about backing out. They'd made enough money and just wanted to enjoy life. As for the people they'd killed, they couldn't care less.
Zhai Weijun stopped, turned, and said, "Brothers, we've made a good amount of money over the years. It's time to enjoy ourselves. Let's disband after this job. I'm thinking of going back and finding a girlfriend, getting married."
He was like an old general on stage, covered in flags, frantically setting himself up for disaster.
As everyone knows, in certain situations, saying something like that usually means you're not long for this world.
Like the classic lines: "After this battle, I'll go back and get married," or "After this last job, I'm retiring."
The six of them trudged through the desert. At three in the morning, they finally saw the hidden cars in the distance.
But all six of them stopped at the same time.
Because a person was standing beside their car.
The moonlight was dim, making it impossible to see the face clearly.
One could only vaguely make out that the person was handsome, even the darkness couldn't conceal his good looks.
That's right, this handsome guy was none other than Su Qing.
Led by the Leopard, he had quickly tried several routes. Ultimately, the Leopard had sniffed out their scent and led him all the way to this car.
Then, he waited here by the car, waiting for the dogs.
Finally, he had waited for them.
Su Qing slowly spoke, "Listen up, you six people over there, you're already surrounded by me. Don't think about making futile resistance, it's all useless."
The six people: "???"
This guy must have a screw loose. He wants to surround all six of them by himself? Didn't he wake up properly this morning?
