Chapter 5 - Part 5: The Shadow Beneath the Throne-

The wind howled through the shattered towers of Elyndor as Aren, Lyra, and Kael returned from the Temple of Ashes.

The Starheart Crystal rested inside a silver pouch at Aren's side. Since touching it, he could feel its power pulsing like a second heartbeat.

But something was wrong.

Every night, Aren dreamed of the same thing.

A throne made of black stone.

A figure sitting upon it.

And a voice whispering:

"The stars belong to me."

Back in the capital, the kingdom was changing.

Dark clouds covered the sky for days.

People spoke of strange creatures appearing in the forests.

Entire villages reported seeing shadows moving without owners.

Fear spread across Elyndor.

King Rowan gathered his council inside the Grand Hall.

"The darkness grows stronger," he said.

"We need answers."

Before anyone could speak, the massive doors burst open.

A royal messenger stumbled inside.

"Your Majesty!" he shouted.

"The northern fortress has fallen!"

Silence filled the room.

"Fallen?" Rowan asked.

The messenger nodded.

"There was no army... only shadows."

That night, Aren couldn't sleep.

He stood on a balcony overlooking the city.

The stars above seemed dimmer than ever.

Suddenly, a familiar voice spoke behind him.

"You've started hearing it too."

Aren turned.

It was Lyra.

"The voice?" he asked.

She nodded.

"The darkness is calling to all who carry star magic."

Aren frowned.

"What does it want?"

Lyra looked toward the horizon.

"I think it's waking up."

Far beneath the kingdom, hidden below ancient ruins, a giant stone chamber trembled.

Chains as thick as trees rattled against the walls.

At the center stood a massive black throne.

And upon it sat a figure covered in darkness.

Two glowing silver eyes slowly opened.

After a thousand years...

The Shadow King had awakened.

A cold smile appeared on his face.

"The Starheart has been found," he whispered.

"Bring me the boy."

The next morning, the kingdom's warning bells rang.

Enemies had crossed the northern border.

Thousands of shadow creatures marched toward the capital.

People rushed through the streets.

Soldiers prepared for battle.

Aren stood on the city wall, staring at the approaching darkness.

For the first time in his life, he felt truly afraid.

Kael stepped beside him.

"Still thinking about running away?"

Aren laughed softly.

"Not anymore."

Below them, the shadow army continued moving forward.

And at its center stood a tall figure wearing a crown of black crystal.

The Shadow King.

Even from miles away, Aren could feel the terrifying power surrounding him.

The final battle had begun.

And the fate of the stars would soon be decided...
