That night in a dark forest with crickets singing and a owl hooting, far away from the castle, a woman ran, running as fast as she could away from the other person chasing after her, she was panting as she ran, knives being thrown at her but she dodged it bending her head, she kept running as fast as her legs could take her.
"Stop right there!" The other woman chasing her shouted but she kept chasing her, until the one being chased reached a dead end, she stopped and turned, scared for her dear life, she saw the other woman approaching her and grinning at her, she had slit green eyes, like the one of snakes and snake like tongue as she hissed, she was a witch.
"No where to run?!" The witch said cackling.
"I... I came here for no harm, I came in peace," the woman that was chased a while ago said, moving back as the witch came closer to her. If it wasn't that she needed these witches help, she would have killed this one.
"And who are you?" Another witch jumped down from a tree, as other witches too gathered coming out of hiding, the one who had first jumped down seemed to be their leader, she was covered in a dark long cloak,
"You have stepped into our territory, are you not scared that we could kill you?" The one covered in cloak with a hood on her head said, as she removed the hood to reveal her face, a very beautiful young woman who appeared to be the age of sixteen, she had long blonde hair and green eyes, she grinned looking at their intruder, the witches cackled.
"I am Aires, your ancestors must have told you about me," the woman said revealing that she was none other than Aires, the evil mermaid, "I am a mermaid sorceress who along with your ancestors killed the mermaid Queen and her soulmate," Aires said looking at the witch leader, who frowned.
"I remember," the young girl said, "But you were captured and thrown into the eternal dungeon, how is it that you are walking freely?" The girl asked.
"I managed to escape and I'm here to seek your help and also assist you in getting unlimited powers against even pure blooded vampires and pure breed werewolves," Aires grinned.
"How do you mean?" The girl asked with a frown on her face.
"Are you trusting her, Nora?" The witch that had chased Aires said to the young girl.
"I can see right through her, she is not lying to us, Elsa," Nora said turning to look at the witch called Elsa.
"We have to first look for the new Queen of Atlanta, we need to eliminate her," Aires said plottingly,
"Where do we find her? It is difficult enough for us to catch an ordinary mermaid, how do you expect us to catch the Queen," Elsa said, "And if we were to find her, how can we defeat her, she is a Queen, so she must have abilities that can kill us easily?"
"You are right," Aires said, "Which is why I have come to you for your help, together we will find her and defeat her, I have heard that she is living amongst the humans ever since birth, it would be easier to find and kill her, we will kill her and I will be Queen of Atlanta, I would allow you witches to make sacrifice of her and every year I will give you a mermaid to use as sacrifice, so do we have a deal?" Aires asked grinning.
"A tempting offer, we cannot decline it," Nora replied smirking.
"Aires has escaped!" Sabrina heard Airen's voice in her dream, "She is now walking on the surface of the land, she is after you!" Sabrina jumped up, panting, Lucian on hearing her heart race had woken up and was monitoring her, until she awakened panting with beads of sweat on her forehead.
"A nightmare?" He asked staring at her as she nodded her head.
"Airen... She said Aires has escaped and is now walking on land, she is after destroying me," Sabrina said still panting and she frowned worriedly, "What do I do? I'm not ready to defeat her yet,"
"It is okay, she knows you live on land but she doesn't know who or where you are," Lucian said and Sabrina sighed in relief, it was true, "Though there is no other reason for her to have escaped if it was not that she has come to join forces with the witches to help find and kill you," he said making Sabrina turn worried again.
"She could also help the witches to trap and catch mermaids from the sea for their ritual," Sabrina said worriedly for her newly found people, "I have to do something soon," she added.
"Tomorrow we would be visiting the council," Lucian said with a grin.
"Why?" Sabrina asked confused.
"To meet a trustee of mine, who might have answers on how to get your abilities out faster," Lucian said and Sabrina just nodded. "Now why don't you go back to sleep without worry, I will protect you till you have your abilities and still continue protecting you even when you do," he said and Sabrina smiled at him for the very first time with her heart aching, her smile made her look even more attractive, he thought as he smiled back, she layed back on the bed and so did he, with a distance between them.
How would she be able to defeat Aires and the witches, she had never come across one before and now, she would have to defeat a whole lot of them, it was scary, she was scared, she didn't know if it was her body that had a mind of it's own or if it was her heart but she found herself moving close to Lucian and snuggling against him, even he was surprised but held her. Was it perhaps true that he was her soulmate? Sabrina questioned in her mind, he was supporting and protecting her and had promised to protect and help her too, she slept soundly in his arms minutes later, Lucian heard her breathing steady, he frowned.
Rosaline arrived in the castle the next morning, she went straight to her room with Lucian but couldn't find him and could smell the faint scent of Sabrina, she frowned and while she was walking in the corridor, she saw Vincent.
Vincent on seeing her bowed in greeting to her
"Where is Lucian?" Rosaline asked the little boy, not smiling.
"He left with Aunt Sab," Vincent replied smiling at the thought of her best friend and brother being together.
"Aunt Sab?" Rosaline asked confused.
"Aunt Sabrina,"Vincent said and Rosaline frowned in disgust, what are they doing together? She thought,
"What a pathetic name you gave her, Vincent, don't stoop low to the level of those lowly humans," she smirked looking at Vincent, she was about to walk away.....
"Would you play with me a little, Aunt Rose?" Vincent asked nicely.
"And why would I do that? Play by yourself, I have got more important things to attend to," Rosaline said irritated and walked away.
"Lady Rosaline, you have been summoned by the Queen," Odin the butler said to Rosaline who sat in the main parlor talking to Selene.
"I will be there," she replied.
Rosaline stood in Lucia's chamber few minutes later,
"Have your seat," Lucia said and Rosaline did, "I called you to inform you that your things have been moved to your own special chamber,".
"What happened to me sharing a room with my husband?" Rosaline questioned with a frown on her face.
"Remember that Lucian is not only your husband now, he is also married to Sabrina, so you both have your separate rooms, even Lucian, whoever he decides to sleep with will be his decision," Lucia said and Rosaline hatred for Sabrina grew, she is taking over my place now, Rosaline thought to herself, now she is sharing her husband with that lowly human, I don't think I will be able to wait till that lowly human gives birth before I take her out of the picture, I would have to do so soon, Rosaline thought.
Lucian and Sabrina walked into the council building, greeted by the council women and men, they walked into Lucian's office.
"Is this where we are meeting with the person?" Sabrina asked as she turned and looked at the spacious office that was Lucian's.
"No, wifey. I can not just take you down to the dungeon to meet her, people would gossip, not that I care but I worry about them being suspicious of you," he grinned as he said this, "Theodore!" He called out and the vampire named Theodore walked in, bowing his head.
"Yes, Master," he said.
"Stay here and keep watch, whoever asks of me, tell them I am busy with my wife and wish not to be disturbed," Lucian grinned while Sabrina's eyes widen as her face reddened.
"Yes, Master," Theodore said and went out to guard the door.
"So what now?" Sabrina asked and Lucian just held her hand and teleported them to Alice's cell. Sabrina looked around and saw a woman sitting on the floor, she saw the woman raise up her head and grinned looking at her.
"So she is the one?" Alice said getting up and moving close to Sabrina, who stood her ground and didn't move, "A brave one I see," Alice said with a smile.
Last night after Sabrina had fallen asleep, Lucian teleported to Alice's cell, the woman had been surprised to see him but she grinned,
"Have you come to me to please you, perhaps your wife haven't been doing a good job," Alice said chuckling.
"Very funny," Lucian said coldly, "But I haven't come here to have any kind of fun with you, infact I have come to warn you,"
"About what?" Alice asked with a frown on her face.
"Tomorrow I would be bringing my new wife over, I trust you so I'm going to tell you this... She is a mermaid," Lucian heard the witch gasp with widen eyes.
"A mermaid?" Alice asked again shocked.
"Yes, infact she is not just an ordinary mermaid, she is the Queen mermaid, when I say I trust you, I should explain to you that once you betray me, it is death for you," Lucian grinned, "Telling you this, if you open your mouth and utter any word on this to another soul, count yourself as a living dead, do you understand me?" Lucian asked coldly.
One thing Alice knew of about this pure blooded vampire is, he isn't ordinary and whenever he says something, then he most definitely means it, perhaps she should side with this vampire, then things would go smoothly for her. On the other hand, Lucian wouldn't have told her any of this if he hadn't learnt of her ugly past and knew there was still good in her heart.
"I understand," Alice smiled, "So what are you bringing her here for?"
"We have a request we want to ask, when we come you will know and do respect yourself," Lucian added.
"Oh really, must want me to try and impress her for you? I can do that,"
"Good witch, And also whatever you see, make sure you tell us all on it, No lying, bad witches lie, I would catch you and if I do, that would be the end of your story, because if you can lie to me, you could also betray me," he grinned, "Have a good night," he said and teleported
