Just as he was soaking in the moment, a commotion outside the airship caught his attention.

"What's wrong, little buddy?" Alex asked.
Seeing its panicked expression, Alex sensed something had happened in the cave.
He had noticed earlier that the system hadn't provided any prompts for a while.
If Haunter and Shiny Weedle were making progress, their combat power should have been increasing, triggering system notifications.
"Come on, let's check it out." Alex picked up Shiny Weedle and headed into the cave.
Inside, numerous fainted Pokémon lay scattered: Paras, Zubat, and even a few Geodude.
They were too weak to capture Alex's interest.
Soon, he heard the sounds of battle deeper within.
Deeper inside, three figures were relentlessly pursuing Haunter, ganging up on it. Despite Haunter's combat power exceeding 500 points, it was at a disadvantage.

Fairy-type Pokémon, Clefable can walk on water and hear a needle drop a kilometer away. As Clefairy's evolved form, it performs Metronome with its nimble fingers.

Under Alex's command, Haunter targeted the Clefable with 430 combat power, launching a Sucker Punch.
Affected by anesthetic powder, this Clefable's combat power was greatly reduced. It struggled to resist and fainted after being hit by Confuse Ray.
"Shiny Weedle, help Haunter. Use String Shot to restrain the other Clefable," Alex instructed the little Pokémon in his arms.
Shiny Weedle leaped down, landing on the cave floor.
With 210 combat power, it couldn't match Clefable, but with Alex's support, it felt confident enough to step forward.
Shiny Weedle frantically used String Shot, wrapping one Clefable in silk and restricting its movement. This only enraged the Clefable, driving it to viciously charge and Double Slap Shiny Weedle.
The combat power disparity was stark.
Clefable's power was double Shiny Weedle's, resulting in a crushing confrontation.
Alex watched through his fingers, unable to bear it.
However, Haunter now only had the strongest Clefable to fight, making victory easier. After several skillful attacks, it was on the verge of winning.
Finally, a final Confuse Ray took down the strongest Clefable.
All eyes turned to Shiny Weedle. Beaten badly by Double Slap, its eyes welled with tears.

Alex recalled Kakuna into its Poké Ball, wanting to forget this little goofball. Even as a Shiny Pokémon, what good was being Shiny?
As Kakuna, it remained useless.
"Sigh, let's see how it does as Beedrill," Alex consoled himself, moving further into the cave.
Ahead, a giant stone loomed, surrounded by many unconscious Clefairy.
