They died? I didn't do anything. I really didn't. How could this happen? Why? Why?What is happening to me?
Hexa's mind raced with thoughts as she stared at the bloody spear in her shaking hands with wide eyes. Rain poured on her, slowly washing away the blood off her hands.
When she finally got her thoughts back on rails, she grabbed one of the luckily not too bloody bodies and dragged it into a huge bush near the castle. It was heavy, but no could do. She repeated the same for the others, the rain washing some of the blood left the ground she she dragged the bodies on.
After the bodies, she tossed the spear in the same bush and wiped her hands on the damp leaves of another one. Nobody could find out this way.
Inside the castle, a young woman with a long, light pink hime cut and hazel green eyes was talking to an older woman with ashy skin, dark eyes, and hair a light shade of brown.
The older woman's power was visible by how she dressed, her bright blue two-piece wear standing out. Her name is Medea, the queen of this place. The pink-haired woman, Maya, on the other hand was wearing an uniform that included a gray shirt with some kind of armor on the sleeves. It showed she was part of an army of some sort.
"Your highness, there are several reports of people appearing our of the blue," Maya said, kneeling infront of Medea.
"Hm, that's strange. How about you lure them in? Where were they last reported to be?" Medea responded, leaning back in her throne.
"There's three people. Two of them are right outside the village and one was reported to approach the castle," Maya answered.
"If that person dares to walch around here alone, I'd say that one won't be an easy one to be sent to defamation execution. If they really just popped out of nowhere, they probably know more than us. We need that precious information," Medea said.
"How shall I lure the first one in, your highness?" Maya said, bowing slightly.
"Give it all your kindness and act like you truly love that person. Then we can easily get through that stubborn skull of that person who dared to march into the village alone," Medea said, slamming her hands on the armrests of the throne.
"Understood, your highness," Maya said, getting up and bowing before walking away from the throne room.
Ugh. Getting to some man's heart just to lure him into the castle? Great. Just what I needed. Maya thought sarcastically.
Outside, it eventually stopped raining, but the clouds seemed like it could still rain anytime soon. Hexa knocked lightly on the door, which opened quickly. Now standing infront of her, was Maya wearing a smile, a sweet one at that.
A woman my age? I guess this isn't as bad as bad as I thought. But damn, she's short. Maya thought to herself.
"Do you need anything?" Maya asked, the smile staying on her face.
"I'm requesting shelter," Hexa answered, trying to sound as polite as possible and mature.
Maya's smile widened like she was happy to say the next thing. "It's your lucky day! The Nullbound legion has free next door. They are offering tents to sleep in. Do you want one?"
"Yes, please," Hexa answered to her.
Maya bowed to her, still smilied sweetly. Then she took a bag from the table nearby and handed it to Hexa.
"Here's the tent! If you want a sleeping bag, you can borrow mine. Just say the word," Maya said.
The hell? I hate borrowing my stuff. Why did I say that, damn it. Maya thought.
"Okay, thank you for everything," Hexa said, giving a small smile back before turning away and walking down the few stairs to exit the doorstep.
Her smile is cute.. To burn in the fire when I execute her. Maya smirked as she thought as she watched Hexa walk away.
But damn, she looks like she's from a capital city and not a smaller village. Does she even know how the tent works? Maya thought, her smirk widening at the thought of Hexa struggling to set up a basic tent.
Inside the castle, a male guard with a strong build bowed to Medea.
"Your highness, six of the guards you've assigned to guard the enterance of the castle have died in an attack today. Just eight of them survived," the man told Medea.
Medea chuckled. "That outsider has more potential than I thought. I want her questioned about her abilities," she said.
