Washington, S.H.I.E.L.D. Medical Center
As Steve Rogers stepped out of the examination room, Nick Fury approached the doctor and asked,
"How's Captain Rogers' condition?"
"No problems at all, sir," the doctor replied. "I can only say he truly deserves to be called the legendary Captain America. It's hard to believe that after being frozen for nearly seventy years, his body is completely fine!"
Hearing that, Tony Stark smirked from the side.
"Wow, the antiques from the last century are really durable—just like my father's old car."
"Hey, Mr. Antique," Tony continued with a grin, "want me to find my dad's car and give it to you? A man from the last century would go perfectly with a car from the last century. Of course, that's assuming you still remember how to start it!"
Steve sighed helplessly at Tony's teasing.
If he didn't know the man in front of him was Howard Stark's son, he might've already punched him just to shut that mouth. Even Howard wasn't this annoying back in the day.
"That's enough, Tony."
Nick Fury finally interrupted before Tony could go any further.
"Captain Rogers, is there anything you need right now?"
"Need?" Steve repeated quietly. He took a deep breath, staring at the city's tall glass buildings. A complicated look flashed across his face before he gently shook his head.
After a moment, he turned back to Fury. "I want to go home."
"Of course," Fury said with a faint smile. "Your apartment in Brooklyn has always been kept vacant. Ever since we found you in the Arctic, we've renovated it to match its original design. Although it's not quite the same as seventy years ago, I believe—"
Before Fury could finish his sentence, a familiar system prompt suddenly echoed in everyone's minds:
[Notice: A new video has been generated. Please enter the viewing room within five minutes.]
[New candidate added: Steve Rogers!]
As the "Spoiler System" announcement rang out, both Tony Stark and Nick Fury instinctively turned to Steve Rogers, who looked utterly confused.
The sudden voice startled Steve. Just as he was about to ask what this "Spoiler System" was, Fury said quickly,
"Captain Rogers, come to my office. Tony and I will explain everything."
Without another word, Fury and Tony escorted him into the elevator.
Watching the three disappear, the doctor who had examined Steve quietly pulled out his phone and dialed a number.
After a brief moment, a voice on the other end answered.
"Sir, I've finished the examination. Steve Rogers is in perfect health."
"You didn't do anything, did you?"
"No, sir."
"That's good. Steve Rogers is Nick Fury's golden boy right now. If we tried anything, Fury would notice immediately. He's just an outdated relic—no real threat. But maybe… we can use him."
"Next, Fury will probably have you conduct regular checkups. Remember—don't do anything extra."
"Understood, sir."
After hanging up, the doctor turned toward the saliva and blood samples collected from Steve. He hesitated for a few seconds before picking them up and tossing them into a micro-shredder.
As the samples were destroyed, he sighed with a hint of regret.
If only he could study them… perhaps he could've mass-produced a new generation of super soldiers.
Meanwhile, in New York.
"Remember," Natasha warned sternly, "don't cause a scene this time after entering the theater. I don't know what'll happen if you disrupt the session again, but if the Spoiler System decides you broke the rules, you'll lose access to it. And trust me, you'd be the one suffering the most."
Thor chuckled heartily. "Relax, Widow. I finally understand what this Spoiler System is. I won't go smashing things like last time. Besides, I'm curious to see the future you've been talking about."
With that, Thor confidently entered the theater. Natasha frowned, hoping he wouldn't repeat his reckless behavior. After a brief sigh, she followed him inside.
In the Theater.
"So this is the place Nick Fury and Tony mentioned… the one that shows us the future?" Steve Rogers looked around curiously.
The theater's design reminded him of old cinemas from the 1940s. When the massive screen lit up and began playing past videos, his curiosity got the better of him—he pressed play.
Sokovia.
Wanda Maximoff stepped into the theater once again, feeling a mixture of excitement and anticipation.
The only regret she carried was that her parents' deaths weren't caused by Tony Stark's poisonous weapon, as she had once believed. Still, perhaps that was for the best—it meant she and Pietro might still have a chance to seek the truth… and revenge.
But what she truly wanted to see this time was Linen.
Would the future video show him?
What kind of man would he become?
A faint blush crept onto her cheeks as she thought about it.
Maybe… maybe one day, she and Linen would not only meet—but have two adorable children together.
