If Lucas Roth were ever to find the people who had said that to him when he had been younger, he would sue them until they did not even have two pennies to rub together.
So far, in his life as a parent, he had only experienced the difficult side of things.
There was no fulfilment to be had.
Not only that, people had neglected to mention to Lucas that by having kids it would be him spending a lifetime raising other human beings, even once they were fully grown adults. His youngest was lazy beyond belief, and seemed to think that life was one big party. He hopped from one party to the next, often moving from bed to bed, continent to continent.
Cleaning up after his messes was a constant headache.
