Richard Kingsley had three children.
Gary Kingsley, his eldest, was the same age as Riven and currently headed the marketing department.
Regina Kingsley, his second child, was 28 years old and was currently abroad to further her studies.
Or to be precise, she was kicked out by Richard.
And Ariel Kingsley, his youngest child, who was the same age as Christopher, was also part of the marketing department.
On the other side are Samantha Kingsley and Thomas Levin.
They have two children,
Nathaniel Levin and Alissa Levin.
Alissa is 22 years old, a year younger than me, while Nathaniel is 18, a few months older than Amelia.
Alissa is training in the finance department, while Nathaniel is studying business management at another university.
Thinking about it, all of them were part of the company.
Nathaniel was also studying a course that would land him a position in the company.
Even Thomas Levin had been in the human resources department, while Clarisse Young, Richard's wife, is in the design department.
Looking at all of them, I suddenly felt the whole world turn silent at the thought that in our family, it was only Riven who decided to work in the company.
Christopher pursues entertainment.
I took up something I may or may not use in the company.
While Amelia was studying pharmaceutics, planning to pursue medicine development.
Yet it was our family who died.
Yes, our family died.
"Shall we start?"
I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard the lawyer speak.
Looking around, all of them have cups of tea.
I shook my head, and just as Patrick was about to open his lips, I spoke first.
"Before that."
Everyone turned to me again.
Richard looked like he was about to lose his mind because of me.
"I also want something to drink, so can I make one before we read it?"
They all looked at the table near me and found that I had no cup.
"HAROLD!!!" Richard could not hold it in.
"I did not count properly, I apologize, master Richard."
"Can I?"
I ignored them and looked at Patrick.
"Go on," he replied.
At least, the grandfather still spoke, unlike the grandson, whom I had to guess what he meant with his actions.
I smiled and stood up.
As I passed Alissa, I heard her speak.
"Psycho."
I bent to the side where she sits and leveled my head to hers.
Then I smiled sweetly, "Thank you."
She flinched just as I straightened my body and walked towards the kitchen.
But just as I did, I heard a crisp sound, the sharp slap of skin against skin.
I smiled triumphantly.
The servants should definitely choose the time to be the bullies.
Now, Richard lost it and slapped Harold in front of Patrick.
After all, Richard is currently considered the head of the family, and for the servants to openly act in such a way towards a Kingsley while Patrick Sinclair is here is truly causing him to lose face.
I took my sweet time making a cup of coffee.
Since they did not serve me tea, I made something I liked instead.
Looking around the kitchen, I chuckled. No servants remained. They were adamant that no one would make me any drink.
The coffee aroma filled the kitchen, giving a refreshing feeling against the stupidity of the game we're playing.
It took me more than ten minutes to make my drink, so when I returned, all of them were almost glaring at me.
"Was I too long?" I asked Patrick.
Patrick looked at me, and I saw one side of his lips curling up.
"No," he replied to my antics.
It seems that this old man got bored and was enjoying his time outside so much that he did not bother, even though I spent too long playing around with my relatives.
I sat back in my seat and sipped from my cup.
"I suppose we can begin now."
Even the lawyer seemed to go along with what I was doing.
Since Patrick had spoken, Richard couldn't do anything.
In the end, Patrick still has more power than Richard. Especially since the Kingsley Conglomerate is still facing repercussions after everything that happened.
Patrick handed the envelope to the lawyer, but it was not the same envelope he had handed me back in the cemetery.
"This is a copy," Patrick said.
The lawyer nodded. It seemed he already knew everything.
But the rest were filled with confusion. Nevertheless, no one questioned. They must have thought the same, to wait until the will has been read.
Looking at the lawyer, I just realized now that he is not our family lawyer.
How did Richard react to this when he found out that the current will is with a different lawyer?
"Just as the late Jayden Kingsley once entrusted me with his will. The second will was once again entrusted to me," the lawyer started as if to answer my thoughts.
My question was answered the next moment, the first will was also handed to this lawyer.
And seeing him acting familiar with Patrick Sinclair, I guess this is the trusted lawyer of the Sinclair Family.
This just shows how untrustworthy the people of the Kingsley Family are.
How laughable, for the will to be handed over to another lawyer.
I watched everyone's faces and noticed some displeasure.
Of course, they'd be displeased. They must not have expected another will to arrive.
Which means, these people became complacent during the first will.
I looked at my coffee as I listened to the first will appointing Riven as the chairman and CEO. No wonder Richard was still the vice president. Grandfather did not want him to lead at all.
"And finally..."
I saw them frown.
Did they not listen to the whole will? Why do they seem like they were hearing something that shouldn't have been there?
"You all started discussing things before I got to this point back then."
And no one can complain because he is not part of the family. He was simply paid to hold on to the will and read it to everyone.
"The newly appointed chairman and CEO, Riven Kingsley, will have the power to choose who will be the next CEO and Chairman."
I almost laughed.
Riven is indeed Grandfather's grandson.
His move was almost identical to the old man's.
