When I was 4 all I could remember was that I was sent to an adoption center because my parents were living in poor condition. I know it wasn't their fault but CPS still took me I was sent to an adoption center somewhere in Texas but I didn't know where at the time. When they dropped me off and a lady walked out and grabbed my hand and asked me what my name was but I only knew Spanish at the time and hearing a different language was strange to me because I didn't know what English was or didn't know how to speak it so I never replied.
The people didnt know how to speak Spanish so they just called me kid or boy at the time but I wanted them to call me by my name "Emmanuel" but no it was just ether kid or boy overtime as I got older I start to understand a little bit of English bit but I just stayed with the language that I knew that being Spanish of course but I will never talk because if I did I was get bullied by the other kids that were there so I used to be beaten up I was the worse place to be living in. All I wanted was to go back home but I never did and I never will.
When I turned 10 it was the hardest time for me because people who came to adopt would either get kids that are young or newborns. I did get adopted a couple of times but they just set me back to the adoption center because I wasn't a perfect fit for their family so all I knew was that families would never pick me just because I didn't know English.
One day an older couple walked in and were looking for a kid to adopt I knew they weren't going to pick me due to my age and my experience so I sat in the corner of the room that I was in. While I was in there I heard the door open in my room and the two old couple walk in and sat in there with me, then I heard the caretaker tell the couple the I only know Spanish and I was not going to be a perfect fit for them but they didn't if I spoke a different language all they what was to adopt a kid so they adopt me I don't know English I knew that I have a new home now.
