Chapter 32 - Chapter 32

Roy Valvas walked confidently into the Charms classroom, wand at his side, accompanied by Daphne Greengrass and Cassandra Vole, who had chosen seats near the front. The Slytherin students turned curious eyes toward him; whispers floated through the room about the new Hufflepuff boy sitting among them.

Roy smiled politely at his classmates, but his attention was mostly on Daphne and Cassandra. "Looks like we've got a lot of fun ahead," he whispered softly, making them both grin.

Professor Flitwick, standing on his stack of books at the front of the classroom, called for everyone to take their seats. "Today we shall practice Levitation Charms — Wingardium Leviosa. Precision and control are more important than force," he reminded the students.

Roy's wand flicked almost effortlessly, and the feather in front of him floated gracefully. His movements were precise, fluid, and elegant, causing Daphne and Cassandra to lean slightly closer, watching in awe.

Daphne whispered, "Roy… how does he make it look so easy?"

Cassandra giggled quietly, "I've been practicing for weeks, and he just… floats it like it's nothing."

Roy smirked, leaning slightly toward them. "It's not about power. It's about understanding the motion, the flow of magic. Watch carefully." He performed a small circle with his wand, and the feather danced in midair, spinning and weaving before gently landing on the desk.

Several Slytherin students tried to mimic him, but their feathers wobbled and twitched, some even falling off their desks. Whispers ran through the classroom, "Who is this Hufflepuff?"

Professor Flitwick's eyes sparkled. "Well done, Mr. Valvas! Ten points to Hufflepuff for exemplary control." Roy inclined his head politely.

Daphne leaned closer to him and whispered, "You make it look so… effortless. I don't think I'll ever float a feather like that."

Roy chuckled softly, glancing at Cassandra as well. "Practice makes perfect. But… the secret is to feel the magic, not push it."

As the class continued, Roy subtly helped his classmates by offering gentle tips, showing minor hand adjustments or breathing techniques, without making it obvious he was helping. Cassandra and Daphne's feathers floated smoother under his guidance, earning impressed glances from their peers.

Meanwhile, some of the Slytherin boys and girls began to notice Roy's poise and skill. A few students whispered among themselves, both curious and slightly envious of how effortlessly he commanded magic, all while staying polite and approachable.

By the end of class, Professor Flitwick clapped his hands excitedly. "Excellent work today! Mr. Valvas has set a high standard for charm execution. Hufflepuff earns another fifteen points!"

Daphne and Cassandra exchanged excited glances. "He's amazing," Cassandra murmured, clearly impressed.

Daphne, blushing slightly, added, "Yeah… and he's so… calm about it."

Roy smiled at them, giving a subtle nod, making the girls' admiration grow quietly. Meanwhile, whispers ran through the rest of the classroom about the Hufflepuff boy who could charm everyone's attention effortlessly.

Even without trying, Roy had made a mark on his Slytherin classmates — a combination of skill, confidence, and gentle guidance that left a lasting impression.
