Mater extended his claws and began to inscribe a new drawing on the blank page. Chaos flooded out of the black cat's blood vessels and reached his claws.
The sketch of a circle with a serrated edge quickly took shape.

Once the drawing was finished, the color purple flooded the circle. The drawing transformed from its two-dimensional shape into a three-dimensional sphere. The serrated edge came alive as the sphere spun in place and let out a high-pitched shriek.

"Woah. The cool-down was reduced from the original 6 seconds to 3 seconds and the spell can fire two projectiles instead of one.
But how does this actually work?"
Mater climbed out of the window again. He went back to the area where he had disturbed the neighbor last time.
The black cat raised its paw and conjured the power of the [Nether Shot].
A purple sphere of negative energy formed around his fluffy paw.
The Nether Ball flew away at high speed. It screamed through the air and destroyed a small tree branch of a nearby street.
Mater immediately conjured a second ball right after and shot again, destroying a second tree branch.
"I see. I can use Nether Shot twice in a row. But what if I only use it once?"
Mater conjured another Nether Ball and shot at the sky. The ball flew away but disappeared right at the 30-meter mark. Then Mater waited, feeling the spell effect inside him.
"The range is the same as before. Each shot has its own cool-down and takes around 1.5 seconds each. So the total cool-down of 3 seconds is for both shots.
But for some reason, it feels weird when I use my paw…"
The neighbor from last time heard the commotion on the roof. He opened his window again and saw the black cat from before.
The neighbor intended to scold the black cat but he froze at the sight.
The black cat opened its mouth. A purple sphere formed in front of its head, much bigger than the last sphere.
The Nether Ball flew away in the air. It had much better speed than before.
The black cat turned its head to the neighbor's window but no one was there. The neighbor already hid himself, sweating non-stop because of what he just saw.
Mater smirked deviously. He let out a loud cat groan before returning to the house. The neighbor didn't even dare to stick his head out.
"Using my mouth feels much more natural than my paws. The Nether Shot is also much more powerful when using my mouth to conjure it. So this is the benefit of being a cat."
Having tested his new spell, Mater returned to the bed with Selina. He squeezed into her soft breast and purred softly.
"Ah… Best cushions ever!"
The cat and its owner fell deep into their slumber.
Tomorrow morning, Selina grabbed Mater into the bathroom to brush his teeth just like last time. Mater gave up already and let her do whatever she wanted.
The ACPD just rewarded her for the last two jobs.
Because Selina and Mater did more than the job requested, the ACPD gave them more credits and tokens.
The ACPD gave Selina 1000 credits and 30 tokens for the Owen Douglas job.
The ACPD gave Selina 500 credits and 15 tokens for the abandoned villa job in Eluvia Street.
In total, she just received 1500 credits and 45 tokens.
The last job was the missing people in the undeveloped plot near NEO Mall.
The pair didn't go to the site of the third job right away as Selina wanted to buy some items.
She went to the mall near her house to buy some groceries and food. Then she went to the pet store to buy stuff for Mater.
The goth girl showed him the litter box which Mater disagreed with immediately.
He hissed at her, "Who do you think I am, girl?! I will use the toilet like a civilized person."
"Okay. Okay. No litter box." Selina sweated.
People stared at her for talking with her cat.
"Collar?"
"I ain't no slave, girl!" Mater hissed.
"Bed?"
"Your bed is sufficient!" Mater hissed.
"A brush?"
"Hmmm. I will allow you to take care of me." Mater meowed.
"How about some cat shampoo? It's great for keeping the fleas away."
"Yes. Hygiene is very important for a dark lord like me." Mater meowed.
They spent quite a lot of time in the pet store. Mater refused most of the usual items but he was very welcoming to grooming products.
Selina loved this little spicy cat so she really bought everything he liked.
They went back to her house and she immediately placed Mater on the bed.
Selina started to clean him from top to bottom, beginning with cleaning his ears with cotton pads.
Her fingers felt extra nice in his ears as she cleansed away all the wax and debris in his ear canals.
"Yes… Baby. That is. Keep going." Mater's eyes were half closed. He purred non-stop because of the good feeling.
"Why do I feel like a prostitute all of a sudden?" Selina thought to herself.
Then she continued to use eye wipes to clean the stains and discharge around his eye.
Selina also wanted to trim Mater's nails but he didn't allow her.
"Keep your hands away from my weapons, girl!"
So she only trimmed the overgrown hair around his paw and applied some paw balm on it.
Selina also bought a face mask for the cat and put it on him. The mask was very cool on the face, making Mater melted away.
Finally, Selina brushed his thick black fur coat.
Mater purred non-stop throughout the process.
