"You don't have to worry much now. I'll take care of everything." Old man brook assured before handing her the divorce letter his lawyer prepared. Immediately old man brook handed the documents to her, April began to cry tears of joy as she signed the documents quickly.
Finally free from the toxic marriage deal her mother set for her.
"April, I'm sorry about the baby." Old man Brook said softly. "I know this isn't the way you wanted to end things and Lucas's actions towards the baby were uncalled for. I want you to know that you always have my support. I'll make sure you get the justice you deserve." Old man Brook said softly but April only cried softly listening to the old man's words.
Swiftly, she hugged old man Brook and cried slowly in his arms while he also continued to pat her back gently to comfort her. Ruby smiled at the scene in front of her because finally her friend is free from the marriage.

Few days later, April was discharged from the hospital and Aunt Sophie came to pick her up when old man Brook refused.
He made sure to convince Aunt Sophie and Ruby that he would love for April to live in the Brook mansion which is a safer place to stay away from any further troubles Jake Steele might cause since the deal between Lady Carter and Jake has been terminated forcefully.
Aunt Sophie finally agrees and allowed her niece to stay in the Brook family house. Old man Brook also gave permission to visit anytime.
April doesn't feel at ease about it, but old Man Brook assured. Plus, he has enrolled April into one of the most prestigious fashion universities. She'd be allowed to continue from the two years she spent before.
While they both discussed everything in the car, April didn't do anything other than crying. She never expected to have been shown this much kindness. The baby indeed was a blessing in disguise even though April already lost it.
The only thing April has to do right now is living in the Brook mansion and going to school.
Immediately they arrived at the house, Olivia Brook already made arrangements for April's room.
Olivia is old man Brook's daughter; he immediately called for her to change madam roles in the house as a punishment to Judith Brook for what April went through.
Olivia's husband isn't in the country yet, so old man used the opportunity.
The funny thing about the whole arrangement with April moving in was that old man Brook intentionally placed Lucas and April's room side by side each other.
During eating time at the dining room, April is to seat beside him, and Lucas is next to her. So, she's in between old man and Lucas.
April hasn't noticed all of these yet, until it was time for dinner when old man brook assigned one of the Housemaids to call her for dinner.
Immediately she came out of the big bedroom given to her, she saw Lucas going into his room, but she quickly turned lowering her head.
Even if she wanted to ignore him, it wasn't for long because Lucas joined them later at dinner and he's currently seated beside her with his cold face.
April didn't know how to feel and became very nervous. She really is seating beside the cold faced man.
Lucas's expression didn't change as he instead continued to eat. He didn't bother asking questions because grandfather already told him April would be staying with them.
While they were all busy eating, Judith Brook was the only one looking like she's about to explode with her face scrunched up in disgust at April. She never expected this move from her father in law after she was informed that April lost the baby.
She was already excited so much and quickly shared the news to Lynn Carter as they both rejoice and make new plans.
"It seems like someone's head is about to explode, we need cold water." Olivia chuckled as she requested to one of the housemaids.
Immediately judith heard what Olivia said, she became even more angry. She knew Olivia was referring to her indirectly.
"April dear, if there's anything you need, I'm always here for you, okay?" Olivia smiled.
"Thank you, aunty!"
"Hey, my name is Evan. I'm also here for you if you need a play buddy. There's no need for formality we are only few years apart from each other." Evan Brook chimed in and continue to eat but the food soon got stuck in his throat.
"What do you mean a play buddy? You think April is as jobless as you are? Better find something doing lad." Old man Brook retorted.
April couldn't help but chuckle silently at Evan.
"Father, I'm thinking of employing April as my personal assistant. That way she could also learn one or two about the fashion industry." Olivia Brook suggested since she owns one of the popular fashion brands in America.
"Did I ask you to poke your nose into her matter. April doesn't need that right now. She still needs to rest and also focus on her studies. When the time is right, I'll let you guide her personally."
With that old man brook stood up to leave the table after eating. "April dear, if there's anything you need, don't hesitate to come directly to me, hmm?"
"Yes, Grandfather, Good night!" April bowed as she watched the old man enter his study.
Not too long, April and Lucas stood up at the same time to leave the table in coincidence.
Judith watched her son and April go upstairs as her fist tightened.
"Be careful not to shoot a hole in their heart with your eyes. The more you look, the less you see." Olivia chuckled at her sister-in -law before walking towards her room.
Judith can only vent her anger within her because any slight mistake can lead to more misery.
Lucas didn't bother glancing at April as he immediately entered his room without saying anything. April thought he would at least talk about the baby, but it not as she thought.
She lowered her head till she entered her room. Very soon she would be resuming school and preparing for classes just like she has always dreamed of.
That night these two didn't sleep and thoughts of different things; Lucas stayed up till midnight thinking about how he carried unconscious April from Jake's house.
While April couldn't stop thinking about how she was going to prepare for school.
