Spirit beast is the name of beast that have acquired qi inside their body.
All beasts that's starting to have qi inside their bodies are called so.
It's corresponding equal of cultivator is those that have reached Qi Gathering Realm.
So when a beast is called spirit beast, it would at least be as strong or even stronger than a Qi Gathering Cultivator.
Qi Gathering Realm is the starting point of those who wants to walk the path of cultivator.

Hong is the strongest person in this village after all. To see that he was sent flying with one hit and still hasn't move from the ground until now, it shocked everyone.
Hong's presence in this village is very dominant. He is even more popular compared to the chief.
His strength is also very significant here. There is also a considerable gap between his strength and the second strongest Cloud.
So when everyone saw that such a character was defeated in one hit, it shook them to their cores.
Everyone was sure that they were going to win but when they saw that, it was like someone throw a bucket of cold water on them.
They are starting to have doubts.
If it can even defeat Hong with one hit then does that mean we wouldn't be able to do anything to it?
Does ganging up on it would even work?

Even though he is pretty confident in his speed. But one wrong move might mean death. He doesn't want to do this gamble.
Just when everyone is stunned silent. The village chief is already walking slowly toward the roaring bear.
Nobody saw when the chief started walking. When everyone notice, the chief is already near the bear.
He slowly and calmly walk toward the bear while he carefully unsheath his sword.
The sword made a very sharp sound when it was drawn from its sheath. Everyone could hear the sound.

When the sword is fully drawn and the chief is preparing to attack, there is a domineering feeling that slowly rise from his body.

The bear also isn't losing out. Even though its body is big, its movements and attacks are surprisingly fast.
For some time, the battle seems to be in a stalemate. Neither the man nor the beast can get the upper hand right away.
In minutes they already exchange hundreds of blows. But the bear hasn't yet manage to land a decent hit to the chief while the chief only manages a few shallow hits to the bear.
Everyone is shocked by the dazzling battle. Even Hong is watching the battle from the ground.
He manage to turn his body to look but he cannot get his body to stand up yet.
The damage he received from the bear seems to be quite significant.
The battle continue for a few more minutes without any side gaining the upper hand.
At this point both parties has already start to slowed down. Their stamina is reaching its limit.
Both are seen to be breathing unstably.
Everyone knows that the deciding moment is near. Some even held their breath while watching.
After a brief stand off between the man and the beast, both dash toward each other.
At that moment the chief saw an opportunity so he adjust his attack.
His sword move fluidly and it's stabbing toward the bear's body unhindered.
But just when the tip of the sword barely touched the skin of the bear, the bear's paw has already hit the chief from his left side.
The force send the chief flying toward the right. The scene is exactly the same as when Hong was sent flying.
It turns out that the bear was leaving an opening on purpose. And it successfully executed its plan.
But just when everyone's hearts are on their throats, they hear a pitiful grunt coming from the bear.
Everyone turn to see the bear and find that the chief's sword is stabbing deeply into its body.
