The office was quiet now with everyone gone. Hunter had made himself busy with cracking some codes. He looked at the clock and found it was Seven thirty pm. He sent an e-football link to Roy, and they started playing the game.
In the Conference room,
"Do you guys have anything more to say."
"You should get a husband so that he can help you to manage this company. If not, then we can withdraw our shares." This was one of the shareholders. After he said that, he turned to the rest of the shareholders who nodded, agreeing with him.
"There are rumors that say you are a lesbian and you are dating your assistant, Hannah. Do you know how much it will affect our company and how we can lose billions if this continues."
Hannah turned to look at them with fury in her eyes. Claire looked calm and smiled at them menacingly.
"How long has this rumor gone on?"
"Since you became the president."
"Since I became the president, you say. If the rumor has been going for that long, then there would have been some losses, yet I have managed to bring billions in this company. My relationship status is not yours to judge. Do you have an alternative Greg since you are so determined to make the company have a really good name, what is your suggestion?"
"Hmmph. If you claim to be clean with your assistant, then why not marry my son?"
"What if I don't agree to it?"
"I will withdraw as a shareholder. "
Claire nodded at Hannah. She went to Claire's office and came back with a 50 million cheque. She handed it to Greg.
"There is your money. Thank you for withdrawing from the company willingly. "
"I was joking."
"I don't have joking in my dictionary. "
'I helped your father to build this company. You can't make me leave the company. "
"You were the one who wanted to leave here by your own. I am not planning on having you back."
"I will tell your father. "
"What are you waiting for? You are only planning on having me marrying your son so that your family debts can be paid. Use that money well. Leave this place. You are no longer a member of this company. Please leave or I will have to sue you for trying to steal company secrets." He leaves. "Who else wants to leave? " She looked around and there was a pin drop silence. "I guess that is a no. We will see each other later. If you want to get married, get married and do not add me in your plans."
With that she stood up and left. Hannah followed her close by. They went to her office.
"You and me. Since when were we in a relationship?"
"Don't get worked up. "
"How do you stay calm on such occasions? "
"Why don't you go get a boyfriend then they will stop bothering you."
"Ok."
"Is Hunter still in the company?"
"I don't know."
"Let's go check on him."
They take their things and left to go and check on Hunter.
