Hunter was with his headphones on and was talking to Roy as they played. Apart from playing basketball, they liked playing e-sports especially e-football.
"Another goal for me. "
"You are just lucky today."
"There is something I can smell."
"What is that you're smelling."
"Winning."
"Don't be full of yourself." He said and scored a goal. They continued playing.
Somebody tapped Hunter's shoulders and he turned to look at the person. It was Claire. He nodded slightly at her and then he heard goal as words on his screen GOAL appeared. Then the game was over.
"Do you know what I am smelling good buddy?"
"No."
"Losing from over here. "
"It was pure luck I got distracted. "
"I thought that you said you were alone. What has changed?"
"My girlfriend is here."
Hannah who was there chuckled. Claire somehow felt nice. She smiled at him. Despite Hannah being Claire's friend, she didn't know what that smile meant.
"Then we will have a rematch tomorrow."
"I will be using gadgets. I will come over to your place tomorrow."
"Fine. See you tomorrow."
Roy hung up. Hunter removed his headphones and turned to face Claire.
"You are coming to work tomorrow. "
"It's Saturday tomorrow. That means no work for me. So, time to go home."
"Yes. "
Hunter started arranging his workplace.
"I have a question for you." Hannah said to him.
"Have you heard of any rumors between Claire and I?"
"Which one exactly?"
"Are they many?" Claire asked.
"I won't answer that. Which one do you want to know?"
"About us dating.'
Hunter got surprised by the question and paused arranging his things.
"You guys are really dating. That is new news. "
"We are not dating." Both of them said at the same time.
"That is what they say if they don't want people to know."
"Say that one more time and I swear you will get a punch on your face. "
"I accept that."
"Do you want me to prove to you tonight?"
"No need. You guys are not dating. Just as you've said they are rumors. It's normal for rumors to be wrong. Can you stop staring at me like that Miss I will pee on myself. " Hunter said those words faster that made Hannah laugh out loud. Claire was staring at Hunter with eyes that could kill him at an instant.
"I feel like I have left something in my office. I will go pick it up."
"Ok."
She left and Hunter sighed a sigh of relief.
"Is she always like that?"
"You will get used to her. She is not bad once you get to know her."
"Ok. "
"Do you want me to add you in the groups gossip group. If you want to know anything and everything, you will get it there."
"Ok." She said looking for her phone in her purse.
"I will add you in some conditions. "
"Ok."
"Don't rat us out to Claire once you see somethings. Next, don't try defending her."
"Why?"
"Immediately you decide to defend her, you will be removed from the group, and it will be very difficult to return you back."
"Fine."
Hunter adds her and they go to the parking lot. Hannah leaves and seconds later Claire comes and stands beside Hunter.
