Chapter 9 - Miners and Deals

Tucker and Ron are carrying Sidney to the door on the roof, when it opens to find a scared student. "Poindexter, you're here." The student said. "Good. There's a gang of Spirits attacking the island." She informed the three boys.

-

"I know. I felt it since I stepped here." Sidney told the girl. "Phantom went to deal with them." He informed the girl as the two humans carried him through the doorway with the girl.

-

"Can you tell us anything about them before we head off to help Phantom?" Ron asked the girl.

-

"I don't know much, you'll have to talk to Jonathan about that." The girl told them as she led the three boys down the stairs. Sidney groaned at hearing that name. "I know Sid, but he was the only one who came back from dealing with them."

-

"What's wrong about Jonathan, uh…?" Tucker asked, pausing to have the girl give them her name.

-

"Marcella. My name is Marcella. And Jonathan is one of the jocks that hurt Sidney." The girl, now named Marcella, answered Tucker's question.

-

"Okay, Marcella, let's get Sid to the nurse's office. Can you bring Jonathan there for us to talk with?" Tucker asked as they reached the bottom of the stairs.

-

"He's actually in the nurse's office now, so that's perfect." Marcella said as the four of them made their way there.

=

Marcella, Tucker, Sidney, and Ron entered the nurse's office to find a group of students circling a bed. There was a woman in a nurse's uniform in the center with the bed, checking up on Jonathan, telling people to spread out and to let her have some space. The nurse was the first person to see the group as they stood in the doorway.

-

"Everybody move. It seems that I have another patient to check on." The nurse said as she pushed her way through the large group of students. "What's wrong Sidney? You aren't usually one to come here." The nurse said as she led the group to an empty bed.

-

"Just a headache Ma'am. It happened once I stepped foot on the realm." Sidney said. "My senses told me about the attack and where it was. Phantom is already on his way there. We just need to know what they're up to." He explained, looking to the bed that held Jonathan.

-

"They're mining for something down by Phantom's house." Jonathan spoke up, hearing Sidney through the large group that has now split to have Jonathan and Sidney looking at each other. "Do you think Phantom will know about my friends? They were captured by the miners." Jonathan said, worried for his friends.

-

"I don't know." Tucker answered. "From what I saw of Danny today, he wanted to test some powers. If he does so with these miners, your friends could be hurt. Let's hope they are tied up somewhere visible." Tucker said, standing beside Ron on the opposite side of Sidney's bed from Jonathan.

-

"Here Sidney, this should help with your headache." The nurse said as she handed Sidney a bunch of pills, which he downed easily.

-

"Thank you. I'll try and send a message to Phantom that there are hostages there." Sidney said as he put his fingers to his temples.

+

Danny was laying down on a roof, observing the gang's activity, when he got a feeling in the back of his mind. Danny investigated it and felt Sidney.

-

'Hey Sid, how are you feeling?' Danny asked with his mind as he sat up from his position.

-

'I'm feeling fine now. The nurse gave me some pills. Danny, there are hostages there. I guess they wanted to be brave or get in our good graces, I haven't gotten to that yet. Remember there are hostages when you use your powers.' Sid explained in Danny's head.

-

'Got it. Be mindful of where I blast things. I understand.' Danny gave his affirmative as he went invisible and flew down to the ground. 'I'll look for the hostages first. I can't capture them as Kim has the thermos and I don't even know if it'll catch things here, but I'll find a way to get them out.' Danny told his green ghost friend.

-

'Good. I didn't think you would have wanted that on your conscience if you killed some innocent people. Also, they're mining for something. That's all the information I got before sending these thoughts to you.' Sidney explained before the feeling went away from Danny's head.

-

Danny stealthily got closer to the mining operation, looking in the buildings, until he found a group of tied ghosts in one of them. There were two guards each standing at both entrances. 'If only I could be in two places at once.' Danny thought to himself, before remembering seeing that in the flash of information when he meditated and listened to his core.

Danny focused on making two heads and an extra head appeared with a neck, making his shoulders broad. Now that there were two minds, they just focused on separating from each other. They did so rather easily, and they looked at each other, appraising each other, when they decided that one of them should change clothes. One of the copies changed into the ambassador clothing Dorathea gave him.

The two copies split up to both of the entrances and took out the guards. The jumpsuit clone wrapped their guards in ecto-tendrils while the ambassador clone used ice to encase their guards. The hostages were staring wide-eyed and were pulling at their bindings, making noise. The ambassador clone quickly quieted them by holding them still with telekinesis.

The ambassador clone got to work untying the students while they were suspended in telekinesis while the jumpsuit clone was on lookout while holding his guards in his ecto-tendrils. Ambassador finished untying the student but kept them suspended in telekinesis while he got to work tying Jumpsuit's guards as well as his own after freeing them from the ice.

Ambassador and Jumpsuit quickly vacated the building that the hostages were held in and made their escape with the students still suspended in telekinesis. They had just made it out of sight of the Gang when they saw Sidney, carrying Tucker and Ron, fly down in front of them.

-

"Is it just me or are there two Phantoms?" Tucker asked after they landed.

-

"Yes There are two Phantoms." Ambassador answered his oldest friend.

-

"We learned of this power when I listened to my core, our core? Do we count as multiple people or one person with two bodies?" Jumpsuit asked to Ambassador

-

"I don't know. Sid?" Ambassador asked his green ghost friend.

-

"Unsure. I don't have that power. Can you let the jocks let go?" Sidney asked, gesturing to the group of students suspended by Ambassador's telekinesis.

-

"Oh, right." Ambassador said, as if he forgot he held several people with his mind. He let them go and they ran towards the school. "Why is it easier to use our powers when we're separated?" He asked Jumpsuit, who was practicing his ice powers.

-

"I don't know. Maybe we should ask Aranea when he gets back." Jumpsuit said after dissipating his ice creations.

-

"Can you two get back together? It's hurting my head hearing you two talk to each other." Ron told the double Dannys.

-

"Right." The two Dannys said in unison. "One moment." They said as Ambassador changed back into the jumpsuit and the two of them focused into each other as easily as they came apart. "Is this better?" A single Danny asked after he finished merging back together.

-

"Very." Tucker and Ron said in unison.

-

"Okay, now, I didn't get much of a chance to actually see what they were doing, but I know that most of them are working over the edge." Danny told the three boys. "How do you feel about fighting them? Ron, Tucker?" He asked his human friends as they haven't had much experience fighting.

-

"I'll have you know that I'm a great distraction." Ron said proudly.

-

Sidney and Danny gave each other a look. "How will that help here though?" Sidney asked his blond human friend.

-

"I don't know." Ron deflated before inflating once again. "But I have one of those wrist blasters the Fenton's made for Kim and me. I could use that to distract them as you fight them." He said, pulling out the wrist blaster in question from his pocket along with Rufus, who was wearing it as a belt.

-

"I don't really have anything to contribute here, but I also have a blaster." Tucker said, showing off his wrist. "How about I just go to Fenton Works and wait." He said glumly, turning away to the building in question.

-

"Don't be like that Tuck. I don't really contribute anything either, but I still help Kim." Ron told Tucker. "Just stick to me and we could probably make it out rather easily." He wrapped his arm around the sad boy. "Let's go!" Ron pumped his fist in the air.

-

"Scylla and Charybdis will be with you both the whole time." Danny told his oldest friend. "They'll get you both out of there if it gets too dangerous."

-

Sidney nodded along with the two ectopi. "I haven't had my powers for long, but I'll keep you safe." He said to the two humans.

-

"Okay. As long as I won't be intruding." Tucker said, a small smile on his lips.

-

The four boys and two ectopi made their way to the edge of Sidney's realm, Scylla and Charybdis were making Ron and Tucker invisible. They didn't see anyone else from the gang as they made their way there, but it was better safe than sorry.

Danny and Sidney grabbed onto the two humans as they levitated down the side of the realm. They found a large cave already there and workers mining what looked like gold and silver. Another part of the cave looked to be a manufacturing machine where the gold and silver materials were being dumped in.

-

The four boys landed on the ground of the cave and hid behind some boxes. "We'll split up. Ron, since you offered to be a distraction, can you make some noise to draw their attention?" Danny asked as they were all crouched down. "Scylla will be there if things go wrong." He said to reassure him.

-

"On it." Ron and Scylla said in unison as they made their way out from behind the boxes.

-

"Tucker, Sidney, you two stick together and take down the manufacturing machine. I don't know what it does, but it can't be good for us." Danny told the two boys left over. "I'll take out all the Ghosts or Spirits that come out from Ron's distraction." He said as he split apart again but stayed in the jumpsuit.

-

"Understood." Sidney said with a nod.

-

"Got it." Tucker said confidently now that there was tech he could deal with.

-

"Phantom! People are coming." Ron yelled out from the center of the cave.

-

"We need to be out there." One Danny said.

-

"Get going." The other Danny said, both the other boys nodded and headed out.

Danny-1 went to the far wall and Danny-2 went in front of Ron just as a swarm of seemingly canine Spirits came out of a tunnel, carrying swords and war hammers. Danny-1 turned invisible as he watched the swarm come out. Danny-2 used his telekinesis to suspend some of the Spirits in the air. After the last of the swarm came out of the tunnel, Danny-1 froze the entrance to prevent a retreat or the boss from easily coming to help them.

Danny-1 dispersed Danny-2 and blasted the floating, now not floating, goons out of the cave. Danny then made tendrils from his hands that wrapped around a multitude of the goons each and slammed them into each other. This knocked only some of them out. It enraged the rest of them. The goons still standing blasted back and Danny dodged most of them. He got hit by a couple of them and he fell to the floor.

-

"Phantom!" Ron yelled out from behind the boxes from before. Presumably without thinking, he ran out to try and help the fallen Danny. Ron ducked and jumped over blasts of energy, seemingly accidental.

-

Danny was standing when Ron made it to him. "I'm fine. How did you dodge their attacks?" Danny asked as he grabbed Ron and flew into the air, barely dodging a collective blast.

-

"Don't know. Acted on instinct. Happens a lot." Ron said, out of breath as Danny flew them around the ceiling. Danny split again, the clone was shooting ice at the goons, while the original carried Ron back to the boxes.

-

"That's cool. I'll be fine Ron. Thanks for worrying about me." Danny-1 said to the blond boy before an explosion from across the cave sounded off. Danny and Ron looked to find that the manufacturing machine was what had exploded.

-

"We're done!" Tucker yelled out to the others. "Can I go now?" He asked, ducking an ecto-blast.

-

"Sid! Time to get the humans outta here." Danny-2 yelled out as he blasted a large blast of ice energy at the group below him. A mini-glacier replaced where they were, giving Sidney and Danny-1 the chance to fly out Tucker and Ron.

-

"But I didn't say I would go." Ron said to the half ghost. "Why don't you try absorbing their energy or something?" He asked just as there was a crash from the tunnel.

-

Standing in place of the ice was a large anthropomorphic dog . "What's happening here?" They asked out of the tunnel.

-

"Who's asking?" Danny-2 asked, landing in front of the presumed leader.

-

"Theryon, who's wanting to know?" The leader, named Theryon, asked Danny-2.

-

"Phantom. Why are you making weapons and attacking this place?" Danny-2 asked Theryon as he gave Danny-1 and Sidney a chance to take Tucker and Ron out of the cave, which they didn't take, not wanting to be spotted.

-

"We were the ones who were attacked first. Those Ghosts weren't the owners of this realm. We took that as an agreement to mine here." Theryon told Danny-2 before looking to the large ice mountain behind Danny-2. "Are you the owner of the realm?" They asked the half ghost.

-

"No, but I am." Sidney said as he landed next to Danny's clone. "I was doing some business. Sorry about the jocks, they aren't the best people." Sid looked back to the exploded machine. "Sorry about the machine. We were going off of information from the one jock that escaped your friends. Why did you capture them anyway?" Sidney asked.

-

Theryon sniffed the air. "Sorry about that. My guys didn't want to be attacked again and panicked. We were gonna return them after the owner of this realm came to get them." They scanned the area of the cave. "Also, I smell three others and two animals here. I believe I heard there were humans present?" Theryon asked the two ghost boys.

-

"Are you going to hurt them?" Danny-2 asked, suspicious given how the gang immediately started attacking. "Your people weren't in a talking mood when they came out. They were coming out swinging swords and hammers."

-

"We just like making weapons, especially carrying them." Theryon said with a smile. "They weren't planning on attacking with them. Sorry for the misunderstanding." They bowed slightly as they apologized. "Can you unfreeze them?" They said, looking at the mini-glacier. "I'll tell them to not attack anyone. We're open for talking if you are." Theryon said to Sidney.

-

'Do we do what he says?' Sidney asked in Danny-2's mind, to which Danny-2 nodded and walked over to the frozen goons and willed the ice away.

-

As the ice turned to mist, Theryon whistled and all the goons stood at attention. "We aren't going to continue fighting, or mining, until my conversation with the owner of this realm is over." They said in a commanding tone. There was a chorus of 'Yessir', and they stood where they were silently.

-

Danny-1, Tucker, and Ron stepped out from their hiding spots. Danny-1 flew ahead to merge back with Danny-2 next to Sidney. Scylla and Charybdis grew and stood guard between Tucker and Ron and the gang. Tucker was fiddling with his wrist blaster while Ron was trying to look at the gang members that stood frozen, without ice.

-

"So one of the people I smelled was a clone? Impressive, I can usually tell when someone is a clone." Theryon said to the group of boys.

-

"Actually, you were talking to the clone. I prioritized keeping my friend safe rather than fighting your people." Danny told the large dog person.

-

"Really? That's even more impressive. Clones tend to give off their own odd scents that reveal them to be such." Theryon said to the half ghost, before turning to Sidney. "I don't believe I caught your name. What may I call you?" They asked Sidney.

-

"Oh, you may call me Sidney, Theryon. If I may ask, what are your pronouns?" Sidney asked Theryon.

-

"Male pronouns, I guess? Why do you ask?" Theryon asked with an eyebrow raised.

-

"My human friends have taught me that just because someone looks a certain gender, doesn't mean they are that gender. We wouldn't want to make a mistake like that, so I thought of asking." Sidney explained to Theryon.

-

"That makes sense. I have had deals go bad because I guessed someone's gender wrong. I'll have to start doing that." Theryon said with a nod. "Now, onto the negotiations. What would it take to continue mining here?" He asked the green ghost boy.

-

"I'd rather you didn't, but I'm sure we could come up with a deal of some kind. It hurt a lot when you were doing it before. Why are you even mining here anyways?" Sidney asked. Danny and the others grouped up behind him, staying quiet for the time being.

-

"This used to be registered as a Haunt but is now a realm. That is rare and there are usually rare materials that come into being when that happens. We haven't found them yet, but we are close. I know it." Theryon said with a gleam in his eyes, before they turned sad. "Sorry about the pain. We didn't think of that when we started." He bowed again as he apologized.

-

"Don't worry about it. I think it has to do with me not knowing of giving you my explicit permission to mine here. Does that sound right, Phantom?" Sidney turned back as he asked the half ghost.

-

"Maybe? Informed Consent is always important. Your power to sense what happens in your realm evolved when I gave you my backing. This may be something to experiment with." Danny told the Ghost and Spirit in front of him. "Did something like that happen when the school got attacked by that super-villain?" Danny asked as he was making little ice sculptures.

-

"Yes, some variation of it anyway. When they did renovations to the building since I was haunting it I didn't feel pain though, so maybe you're right. Consent is what is important." Sidney thought aloud, before turning to Theryon. "What were all the stuff you were making?" Sidney asked the large dog person.

-

This got Theryon excited. "So many weapons. Swords, Hammers, Spears, Halberds, Daggers, almost all kinds of weapons." His eyes turned to the destroyed manufacturing machine. "Don't worry about the machine. That blows up all the time, and we can fix it pretty easily. Why don't we show you some of our weapons?" He asked excitedly, his tail starting to wag. Theryon whistled. "Everyone with a unique weapon, step forward." He turned his attention to the large ectopi. "They won't hurt any of your charges. I promise." Theryon solemnly said to the gold and silver ectopi.

-

"It's fine, you two. I trust him at the moment." Danny told Scylla and Charybdis, who then moved to let four of the goons pass them. Each holding a sword, hammer, spear, and mace respectively.

-

"Thank you for your trust, Phantom." Theryon nodded to the halfa. "Are they your Spirit Familiars?" He asked as Sidney, Tucker, and Ron were examining the weapons as they were being held by the person wielding them.

-

"I guess you could call them my familiars. Yeah, though I've only had them for a week." Danny said as he started to look at the weapons being presented. "Are these made of gold and silver?" He asked Theryon.

-

"Sort of." Theryon's tail started wagging even more. "They are the equivalent to gold and silver, but they are more magical. They can focus a Ghost or Spirit's energies. That's why it's so rare. The big wigs use them for themselves to make themselves even stronger." He explained.

-

"What is your purpose in making weapons from them? I feel like it's for more than just to have the weapons made from it. Who do you plan to fight?" Danny asked as he was examining the spear and bringing the conversation back to the negotiations.

-

"We don't plan to fight anyone. This is just to add to our collections of weapons and maybe to sell the excess. Though, it's hard to find buyers for weapons when everyone has their own powers." Theryon explained.

-

"Can you make more than just weapons? I'm sure you could use the materials from your excess weaponry for other purposes." Tucker spoke up, he held up his PDA and showed some pictures. "You could make armor, jewelry, figurines, anything you wanted really." He flipped through pictures of some options on the screen.

-

"Yeah, I would be willing to allow you to mine here if you shared some of your products. Especially if you grow your product choices." Sidney said after examining the mace.

-

"I hadn't thought about making things other than weapons. I'll definitely try that if it'll let us continue mining here. As long as we can make a satisfactory piece for each of our collections, then whatever else can be used for you, Sidney, to do with as you please." Theryon told the group. "Would you like a weapon for you and each of your friends? As a show of good faith." Theryon made a gesture, with a glowing hand, to the boxes they used to hide and weapons started to fly out of them. "Have your pick." He said as he lined the weapons suspended in the air.

-

Danny got a golden staff with silver weights on either end. Tucker got a sword that had gold on one side and silver on the other. Sidney got a golden mace with silver spikes. Ron got a set of tonfa, one gold and one silver.

-

"Boo-ya! Check me out." Ron said, spinning the tonfa in his hands. "These are awesome!" He exclaimed, just before he got hit in the face by one of them. "Still awesome."

-

"Ron's right. This staff feels awesome in my hands. The weights are perfect as well. Amazing job." Danny said to any of the gang in general. "What is this type of staff called?" He asked Theryon.

-

"That is a Dragon Staff, Phantom. Try putting some energy into it." Theryon told Danny, who followed the suggestion and both of the weights glowed. "The silver stores energy for a small time and when you hit something, or someone, the energy will be released." He explained to the young halfa before turning to Sidney. "Let's get that contract written out so we can file it in with the Archivist."

-

"That's a good idea, and I was just here to tell my master about doing some paperwork." Aranea appeared, startling everyone momentarily. "I'll wait until you draft out the contract before I take him though." They said as he was inspecting the weapons still suspended in the air.

-

"I hope I didn't break any laws." Danny said worried. "Maybe I should take Tucker and Ron home before we go there." Danny looked between the two humans before him. "Just so they aren't stuck here if I become incarcerated."

-

"You won't become incarcerated, Phantom." Theryon told the worried half ghost. "The Archivist is actually pretty chill for beginner ghosts. As long as you file the proper stuff before a year is up, nothing will happen to you." He put a hand on Danny's shoulder. "But I agree that you should probably take the humans home. It may take a while." Theryon told Danny.

-

Danny nodded at that. "Okay, I've only had my powers for a month now, I think, same as the portal being functional. I won't need to worry about that as bad right now." Danny took some calming breaths as he gripped the staff tightly.

-

"I'd heard that there was a portal in the area. Cool. Just, calm down about filing the paperwork for all of that." Theryon said after seeing how tightly Danny was holding the staff.

-

"I'll take your friends home while you stay with Sidney as he works on the contract." Aranea said as he opened a portal. "This portal will take you to an empty alleyway next to Fenton Works." He explained to the two humans. "Go ahead and tell them that he is taking care of some business that needs to be taken care of personally and quickly. Time works differently in the Infinite Realms." He told Tucker and Ron as they made their way through the portal.

-

As the portal closed Danny spoke up. "Actually, I could go to the Archivist's place now while also staying here to be with Sid." Danny demonstrated his cloning power and transformed the clone into the ambassador clothes. "I figured out how to do this and how to access my ice core today after school let out." He told the spider samurai.

-

"Amazing, I planned on teaching you cloning sometime soon, but to access one of your cores already, that's impressive. Very well. Let us go on." Aranea made a portal and went through, and Danny-1 followed.

+

Tucker and Ron walked up to the Fenton Works building in the human world just as Jazz parked her car in the driveway. Kim and Sam were in the car with her. The three girls got out of the car. "Hey Ron, Tucker. Where's Danny?" Kim asked the two boys.

-

"Aranea took him to do some paperwork for the Elders Council. As well as to help Sidney with a contract with a group of mining craftsmen." Ron told Kim.

-

"Paperwork?" Sam asked. "What kind of paperwork?"

-

"Something about his presence in the Infinite Realms as well as the portal. Just some legislative stuff I think." Tucker answered his goth friend as they went inside the building.

-

"What are you carrying?" Jazz asked, looking at the weapons Tucker and Ron were holding as she closed the door.

-

"They were a gift from the mining craftsmen. They're made of rare metals from Sid's Haunt-turned-Realm. Danny got a Dragon Staff and Sidney got a spiked mace." Ron explained to the elder redhead. He then proudly presented his tonfa. "I got these cool handled quarterstaffs and Tucker got a sword."

-

"Theryon, the miner's leader, said that they react to a Ghost or Spirit's powers." Tucker spoke up. "Also, part of the deal was that they would use excess materials to make things other than weapons. They seem to really like weapons for some reason." He said as he brandished his gold and silver sword.

-

"Though the material may be rare because it makes Ghosts and Spirits stronger and they hoard it." Ron said as he spun the tonfa in his hands again.

-

"Yeah, from my understanding from a small demonstration, the gold conducts ecto-energy, while the silver temporarily stores it." Tucker surmised, sliding a hand down the blade of his sword.

-

"I hear talk about ecto-energy. What is making you talk like that?" Jack asked as he came up from the lab.

-

"Just some metals from the Infinite Realms that strengthen Ghosts and Spirits, Mr.Dr. Fenton." Ron told him, showing off his tonfa.

-

"Nice tonfa, Ron." Maddie said from behind her husband. "You got that from the Realms?" She asked just as Ron's hand slipped and the golden tonfa flew out of his hand and at Jack.

-

Jack took the hit without flinching and picked it up from the ground. He passed it to his wife, who inspected it. "Where's Danny?" He asked the two boys.

-

"He's doing some legislative paperwork. Something about him being a new ghost and the portal. He needed to do it soon, so he didn't break any laws." Ron answered the large orange man.

-

"Yeah, Aranea told us that it had to be done now because time moves differently there. It has to do with the member of the Elders Council called the Archivist." Tucker explained to his oldest friend's father. "He should be back sometime soon. Aranea didn't give a timeframe."

-

"That's nice. We didn't even think that there could be problems because of the portal itself. This is good craftsmanship, I might have to see their products myself. What kind of currency do they take?" Maddie asked the two boys.

-

Tucker and Ron looked at each other. "We don't really know, we didn't ask." Tucker told his friend's mother. "The conversation was mostly bartering, instead of monetary transactions."

-

"Yeah, we were kinda fighting them mostly. It was a misunderstanding, really. I was still only the distraction." Ron said, taking back the golden tonfa from Maddie.

-

"Danny learned some new powers during our outing today. Ice generation and cloning. His telekinesis and ecto-tendrils were much better. We haven't gotten the chance to ask why he has suddenly gotten stronger with his powers." Tucker told the people in the room.

-

"Yeah, also, we should probably get Danny a communicator, so he can scan Ghosts and Spirits on his own." Ron said.

-

"I'll talk to Wade. He also wanted to test his top flight speed and top strength." Kim said to the blond boy. "We could possibly do it before the dinner party tomorrow evening or the day after." She said, looking to the Fenton parents.

-

"That works for us. Right, hun?" Maddie asked her husband.

-

"Totally, I want to see how powerful my boy is." Jack said with a glimmer in his eyes.

-

A portal opened in the living room and Danny-1 walked out of it with Aranea. Danny-1 looked exhausted and just grunted in greetings to the people in the room. He went upstairs to his room. Aranea stayed with the others.

-

"How long were you two gone?" Kim asked, looking up the stairs after her new friend. "He looked beyond tired." She said, looking back at the spider samurai.

-

Aranea thought for a moment. "About a week's time in our perception. He only started to get tired on the last day of signing papers." They explained to the humans. "He should be back to normal after a night's rest."

-

"Let's hope so, I want to check out his new powers." Jack said excitedly.

-

"You might still be able to. He left a clone with Sidney, and I don't know how Halfa clones react to time differences." Aranea told Danny's father.

-

"Maybe you should go check." Jazz told Aranea. "He might make a bad mistake with the contract."

-

"Very well, Jasmine. I'll do just that." Aranea told his master's sister and opened a portal to check on his master's clone.

+

Danny-2 covered his yawn with his cape just as Theryon and Sidney finished writing up the contract. At the same time, a portal opened behind him and Danny-2's ghost sense told him that it was Aranea, so he didn't get startled by them.

-

"Hello Phantom. Your sister wanted me to check on you after your original came back from the Archivist's. I see that you're not as tired as your original. May I ask how? Normal clones are affected by what the original does or gets affected by." Aranea explained to the half ghost clone.

-

"That's probably because I have been meditating periodically while Sid and Theryon were working. They just finished actually. I might still go on patrol after this." Danny-2 said as he walked out of the room they were using as a board room. "Unless I need to go with them to process the contract since I've backed Sid. Do I?" Danny-2 asked.

-

"No, I decided to ask that, and you only have to do it if it was only your idea for the contract. You will need to file any other backings you do in the future." Aranea explained to Danny-2.

-

"I'm aware. I have all the memories of the original. It was strange to go through a week in a matter of minutes. Is that normal for clones?" Danny-2 asked the spider samurai.

-

"Unknown. I haven't seen anyone do something like this before. This legislative process is new. I also learned about a new currency that is centralized within most of the realm. You can also transfer human currency to the Realm's currency. It was 1:1 from what I heard." Aranea explained to the clone.

-

"Good. I'm sure my parents will wanna know about that after hearing about the metals. They probably have plans to incorporate it in their inventions." Danny-2 said, to which Aranea nodded.

-

"Will you be going on patrol now?" Aranea asked.

-

"No. At least, not until after I check in with my family. The others will probably have told them about my new powers, and they'll want me to demonstrate them." Danny-2 explained.

-

"Very well. Would you like to go now?" Aranea asked again.

-

"Yeah, might as well if I don't need to go with Sidney and Theryon to process the contract." Danny-2 told the spider samurai.

-

Aranea opened a portal to the Fenton's living room and the two of them walked through after Danny sent a telepathic message to Sid that he was leaving.

-

Danny-2 and Aranea walked out of the portal to find Tucker swinging his sword. Danny-2 caught the blade with his telekinesis. "I'm back." He said to the group of his friends and family.

-

"Danny! Let us see the ice." Jack said, shaking his fists in excitement.

-

"You don't have to if you're exhausted like your original." Jazz said, worried about her brother.

-

"I'm fine. My original is mostly just emotionally exhausted. He didn't have either Scylla or Charybdis with him." Danny-2 explained to his worried sister. "I am planning to go on patrol soon anyways." He said to the group

-

"Okay, if you're not tired, show us the ice. The boys said you made ice swords for Klemper and ice figurines when Sidney was having conversations." Maddie said as she was staring at the Dragon Staff in Danny-2's hands.

-

Danny-2 made a shard of ice and handed it to his mother. "I know that you just wanted to examine the ice I make to see if it's special. Now for the duplication." Danny-2 said as he closed his eyes and willed another clone of himself, which happened easier than before.

-

"Whoa. That is useful." Kim said as she looked at the clone of the clone.

-

"Yeah. It has been useful." Danny-3 told her. Danny-3 three then noticed that there was still a staff in his hands. "I guess that ghost weapons clone with me." He said to Danny-2, who nodded.

-

"Makes sense. Theryon said that it takes in our energy and stores it temporarily." Danny-2 told Danny-3. "If it has our energy inside of it, it stands to reason that they would clone with us."

-

Danny-2 and Danny-3 then froze for a moment. "I guess Danny one wants to go to sleep. We will probably disperse once he does." Danny-3 said. "Right, Aranea?" Both Dannys turned to the spider samurai.

-

"Ghosts and Spirits tend to use clones to keep working on projects while they sleep. You two should be fine to go on patrol." Aranea said to the two clones.

-

Danny-3 dispersed and Danny-2 transformed into his jumpsuit. "Only I'll be going on patrol, with one of the ectopi. Danny one is cuddling Scylla, so Charybdis will be joining me." Charybdis flew down and joined Danny-2, just as he flew out of the house.
