Dogs - The Possibility of Phantoms

Kim and Danny-2 walked out of the portal Aranea made for them and came out in an alley. Scylla landed on Danny-2's shoulder and turned invisible.

"I know this alley. It's about a five-minute walk from my house." Kim said to the half ghost clone.

"Awesome. Do you want me to wait here for you, or come with you?" Danny-2 asked.

"I thought you went through the portal with me because you wanted to meet my parents?" Kim asked with a smirk.

"That is what you said. I didn't say that." Danny-2 reminded her. "I'm fine with meeting your parents, but waiting in your house for you to change being the first time being there might be seen as a bit inappropriate." He explained his reasoning. "Also, what would I talk to your parents about?" Danny-2 asked.

"You could always give them a heads up on your family." Kim told the half dead hero. "Speaking of family, you should probably tell your parents about the cover story we came up with about testing one of Wade's inventions." She said as they started walking.

"I'll call them and see if they'll pick up." Danny-2 said as he pulled out his phone and pulled up his mother's number. She picked up.

"Hey Danny, why are you calling? Aren't you still on the island? Do you need us to help catch a Ghost or Spirit?" Maddie asked, rambling into the phone.

"Calm down mom. I just wanted to call you about what to say to the Possibles about what we were doing today." Danny-2 told his mother.

"Okay, what do we say?" Maddie asked, sounding serious.

"Just that Kim, Ron, and I were out testing one of Wade's inventions on an evacuated island. That's all you need to know right now. Can you remember that?" Danny-2 asked.

"Yes, Hun. we can remember that. You didn't answer my questions though. I'm guessing that you aren't on the island, but do you need help catching a Ghost or Spirit?" Maddie asked, repeating her previous question.

"I can handle any Ghost or Spirit that I come across. Don't worry." Danny-2 told his mother. "But there is a ghost situation at Axiom Labs. Teams Possible and Phantom are going there to check it out." He told his mother. "I just wanted to let you know."

"Thank you for informing us about what you are doing. We won't interfere there. I promise." Maddie said to her son. "Just be sure to call us if things get out of hand, you know how your father drives." She chuckled before hanging up.

"That went easier than expected." Danny-2 said as they made it to Kim's house.

"You think they'll make an appearance at the labs?" Kim asked as they made their way to the front door.

"No clue. They tend to try to keep their promises, but I'm now in the family business, so they might try to make it a family bonding activity." Danny-2 said as Kim opened the front door to a rocket flying out at them. Danny caught it with both hands, and it turned off.

"Dang it tweebs." Kim growled as she went inside. "You almost seriously hurt my friend." She said as she and Danny made it into the living room.

"You have a friend that's not Ron?" Spoke the red twin.

"Shocking." Said the green twin.

"Hi. I think this is yours." Danny held up the rocket he caught to the twins' jaws dropping.

"You caught that?" Both twins asked in unison.

"Uh, yeah. It came straight for me, and I decided catching it was better than letting it hit me." Danny-2 said to the kids, nervous about talking to people younger than himself.

"You're lucky he caught it, you could have seriously injured someone with that." Kim said to her younger brothers. "Anyways, this is Danny." She introduced the half ghost.

This seemed to get the twins out of their shocked trances. "So you are the one whose parents are ghost hunters." Said the green twin.

"We also heard that you have two pet ghost octopi." Said the red twin.

"Can we see them?" Both twins said in unison.

Kim turned to Danny. "While you keep them entertained, I'm gonna go change for the mission." She said as she went upstairs.

"So, can we-" The green twin started.

"-see them?" The red twin finished the question.

"Well, I only brought one of them, Scylla." Danny-2 said as the said ectopuss made themself visible. "My other ectopuss is with Ron, just in case he runs into a spirit animal that's a bit aggressive. Say hello, Scylla."

"Hello. What are your names?" Scylla asked after waving their tentacles in hello.

"Oh right, Kim never said what your names were. She just calls you the 'tweebs'." Danny-2 said.

"That's rude of her." Said the green twin. "My name's Jim." He said.

"Yes, quite rude." Said the red twin. "My name's Tim."

"Nice to meet the two of you, Jim, Tim." Danny-2 said as he shook the hands of the respective twins.

"Nice to meet you." Scylla said from their perch on Danny-2's shoulder.

"How'd you catch our rocket?" Jim asked.

"Yeah, we used the recipe for real rocket fuel and everything." Tim said.

"Let's not talk about that and just say I have good reflexes." Danny-2 said nervously.

"Fine." Both of the twins said at the same time.

There was a silence with the twins just staring at Danny-2. "So, how'd you make the rocket?" Danny-2 held it up once again. "This seems a bit too advanced for stuff you have lying around." He said as he put the rocket down on the ground.

"Well, our dad's a rocket scientist and sometimes brings his work home with him." Jim started.

"Yeah, sometimes it's top secret files of space missions, other times its recipes for rocket fuels." Continued Tim.

"Yeah, just last week, he brought home plans for a rocket called the 'Kepler'. We took a peek and decided to try and build a smaller version." Finished Jim.

Danny-2 blinked at them. "One: Won't that get your father fired? Two: That doesn't really answer my question. You can't exactly build this just with stuff you find around the house." He told the twins. "Unless your father brings home pieces just the right size for you two." He added to the end of what he said.

The twins just looked between themselves and Danny-2 repeatedly for a moment. "We didn't-" Jim started.

"-realize that." Tim finished. "And here we thought we were being clever by using just what we can find." Both of the twins looked to the ground, upset.

"You're still clever. I don't think normal kids your age could build a rocket, period, unless it's a model rocket." Danny-2 said, trying to comfort the twins.

"Don't give in to them. They don't need someone to stroke their egos." Kim said as she came downstairs in her mission suit. "What else were you two talking about?" She asked the three boys.

"Other than wanting to meet Scylla, just what your father does and how he brings top secret files home. I was worried that he could get in trouble for doing so." Danny-2 told Kim. "Ready to go?" He asked her.

"I just need to tell my mother I'm leaving on a mission. Even if it's in town." Kim said to Danny-2 before turning to the twins. "Where's mom?" She asked.

"I'm right here, but I was just called in for a surgery. You'll need to watch them." Ann said as she came from another room. "Nice to meet you again Danny, Scylla." She greeted Danny-2. "Sorry for telling my family about the ghost octopi." She apologized as she hurried out of the door.

"But-" Kim tried to refuse her mother, but Ann was already in her car. "I guess that I'll have to take them with us." Kim groaned out.

"I could always watch them." Danny-2 suggested. "It shouldn't take you long to take down whoever tried to rob Axiom." He said to the red headed girl.

"I can't make you do that." Kim was going to say more but was cut off by Danny-2.

"You're not making me, I'm offering to do it." Danny-2 told Kim.

"You're going to Axiom?" Jim asked.

"We want to come!" Tim said excitedly.

"They are introducing a new security system at their headquarters." Jim started.

"We hear that it is supposed to be the best." Tim finished.

"We're going." Both of the twins said in unison.

"You heard them, plus, I don't think my parents will appreciate someone they hardly met staying mostly alone in the house." Kim said, looking between the twins and Danny-2.

"That makes sense. Alright, I'll watch them at Axiom." Danny-2 told the three Possibles. "Just so they don't go anywhere top secret and get arrested." He said when he saw the twins start to speak up.

"That's fair." The twins said in unison.

"Thank you, Danny." Kim said as the four kids got out of the house.

"How are we gonna get to Axiom?" Jim asked.

"Yeah, you don't have a car here." Tim said, observing the empty driveway and stretch of road in front of him.

"Danny?" Kim asked with a look in her eyes that said that Danny should have the answer to it.

"Okay, fine. If you don't mind a five minute walk, we can ride Scylla near Axiom." Danny-2 said to the excitement of the kids. "But you have to keep my ectopi a secret." He told the twins, who nodded vigorously at the concession.

The four humans and one ectopi started walking to the drop off point Aranea put Danny-2 and Kim at. "Are your parents really ghost hunters?" Jim asked.

"It's a bit more than that, they both have Doctorates in Paranormal Sciences. But yes, their profession is ghost hunting." Danny-2 told the kids. "They only recently got away from harming all ghosts and spirits to talking with them. Like the one that used to haunt the high school Kim and I befriended." He added.

"Really, there is a ghost at your school?" Tim asked, astonished at the idea.

"Yeah, his name is Sidney Poindexter. He works with Phantom and my parents to hunt the bad ghosts and help the good ghosts. They're basically superheroes." Danny-2 told them.

"We heard about Phantom. He helped Kim out with Drakken and Shego when they attacked the school, right?" Jim asked.

"Yeah, wasn't that before the ghost lunch lady attacked the cafeteria?" Tim asked.

"Actually, the ghost lunch lady attack was before Drakken and Shego." Kim corrected them. "I tried to help fight her, but ghosts are tricky for humans to fight." She said as they neared the drop off point Aranea sent them to.

"I can see that." Jim said.

"Yeah, didn't you ask mom and dad if you and Ron could go work at Fenton Works?" Tim asked his older sister.

"I did. I figured that if ghosts are going to attack around the town, I might as well work for the people with the means to fight them. Also, they know and understand my need to go on missions across the globe." Kim explained as they reached the drop off point. "Here's where we take off, right Danny?" Kim asked the half ghost clone

"That's right." Danny-2 answered Kim. "Now, we are going to be invisible and probably intangible as we fly to Axiom." He told the twins. "I'm telling you this, so you don't freak out when it happens. We'll probably meet Charybdis and Ron mid-air as we near Axiom."

Scylla flew off of Danny-2's shoulder and grew to fit the alley the group was in. Scylla lifted the four humans and put them on her back. "I would recommend holding on tightly." Scylla told the group on top of her. The group nodded and Scylla turned invisible and then intangible as she rose from out of the alley.

"This feels totally weird." Jim said.

"Yeah, totally weird." Tim agreed with his brother.

"You get used to it after a while." Both Kim and Danny-2 said in unison.

"It can get pretty fun after you get used to the feeling of the powers washing over you." Danny-2 said to the twins as Scylla started to pick up speed.

Danny-1, Sidney, and Ron walked out of the portal Aranea made for them that was a five minute walk from Ron's house. Charybdis stayed on Danny-1's shoulder. As Danny-1 took a step on the solid ground, his ghost sense went off.

"Ron, you and Charybdis go and get your mission clothes. Sidney and I will investigate a Ghost or Spirit nearby." Danny-1 said as Charybdis flew over to Ron's shoulder. "Charybdis, stay invisible. I don't want other people to know about you without my knowing." He told the golden ectopi.

"Got it." Both Charybdis and Ron said in unison as Charybdis went invisible on Ron's shoulder.

"If my parents are home, can I tell them that I plan on being employed by Fenton Works?" Ron asked the half ghost as he transformed.

"Yeah, go ahead." Danny-1 said as he and Sidney took to the air to look for the ghost or spirit nearby.

The ghost, as it was distinguished by the town sense power, was across the road of the alley that Aranea dropped them off at. They had dark green hair, gray skin, red eyes that matched her red leather jacket with matching skirt, black shirt under the jacket, green plaid leggings, and black thigh high high-heeled boots. "Shadow! Shadow, come here boy." The ghost called out.

"That's Kitty." Sidney spoke up. "I wonder what she's doing calling out for Shadow." He wondered as the two ghost boys made their way to the ghost, now named Kitty, as she continued to call out for Shadow.

"Do you need any help, miss?" Danny-1 asked as he floated next to Sidney, who waved to Kitty.

This made Kitty stop calling out to Shadow and she waved back to Sidney. "You're the halfa that made this town his haunt, right?" She asked.

"Yes, I go by Phantom." Danny-1 answered the gray-skinned girl.

"Look Phantom, I'm just looking for my boyfriend's pet. I'm not looking for trouble." Kitty held up her hands in a placating nature.

"Good to know. I'm fine with Ghosts and Spirits coming on to my haunt if they don't cause trouble for the people here." Danny-1 told the ghost girl. "Now, I'll ask again. Do you need any help, miss?" He asked again.

"If you're offering." Kitty said as she put down her hands. "As I said, I'm looking for my boyfriend's pet, Shadow, which is his name and what he is." She started to explain. "He was acting fine and behaving, until we reached this area. Shadow's eyes started to glow purple, and he started being really aggressive. My boyfriend took off on his motorcycle to try and follow Shadow, but he used his shadow travel power to go somewhere." She finished just as the sound of a motorcycle sounded off, coming near where the three ghosts were.

"Hey Babe, are these two bothering you?" The motorcyclist ghost asked Kitty. The cyclist had yellow hair, pale gray skin, green eyes, long black overcoat, white shirt with a skull necklace around his neck, black pants with a green belt, and heavy duty combat boots. "Oh, heya Sid. Whatcha doing here?" He asked.

"I'm here with my friend, Phantom, to help find Shadow." Sidney answered the blond ghost. "Oh, Phantom, this is Johnny 13. He is kind of a friend of mine. Same with Kitty." He told the half ghost.

"Oh man. Look Phantom, we're not looking for a fight. We were just going to have a date night, but my pet shadow ran off. Are you really gonna help?" Johnny asked, seeming to finally process what Sidney said.

"Uh, yeah. Sidney, you're more familiar with Shadow than I am, right? Do you think you could use your town sense power to find him?" Danny-1 asked his ghost friend and the other two ghosts in attendance looked at Sidney with hope in their eyes.

"Yeah, I don't know why I didn't think to try that before, when Kitty was explaining what was going on." Sidney said as he closed his eyes and physically focused.

"Since when could Poindexter sense what happens in the town?" Johnny asked as he kicked his kickstand and he got off of his bike.

"Since I gave him my backing." Danny-1 answered the blond ghost. "So, earlier this week. It's been a hectic and busy week." He said as he let out a sigh that gave off vibes of exhaustion.

"I'll bet, if half of the rumors I heard about you are true." Kitty said to the half ghost.

"And what rumors are there about me?" Danny-1 asked the green haired girl.

"Like how you did a coup in the Time Locked Lands in an hour, took out Skulker like he was a child, saved a yeti princess from a gang of humans, that kind of thing." Kitty told the half ghost.

"It took a few hours to officially do the coup. I wasn't the only person responsible for taking down Skulker. And while the yeti girl was a noble, she wasn't a princess." Danny-1 told the ghost girl, who stood slack jawed.

"Seriously? That's crazy." Johnny said to the half ghost. "Any chance we could get your backing as well?" He asked.

"Maybe sometime. I don't really know all about backing a ghost, I've only been a ghost for a month or so." Danny-1 told the biker ghost.

"Seriously? You're powerful enough to back a ghost so fully that they have a full on change to their appearance, yet you're only a baby ghostie?" Johnny asked Danny-1, who nodded.

"I guess. I've already filed the papers for being a ghost." Danny-1 told the biker boy.

"We don't care about any of that. You know how powerful a ghost has to be to back another ghost?" Kitty said to Danny-1.

"I guess not. I did it accidentally with Sid. Speaking of, have you found Shadow yet?" Danny-1 asked Sidney, who finally opened his eyes.

"You'll never believe where he is." Sidney said to the halfa. "Shadow is at Axiom for whatever reason."

"Axiom?" Johnny asked, confused by the word. "Why shouldn't he believe it?"

"Because we have a mission there to deal with a ghost that is robbing the place." Danny-1 answered the biker. "Maybe whoever is doing it is controlling Shadow for a nefarious purpose. We could use the help if you want to come, we're just waiting for a human to get back with his uniform." Danny explained.

"Are we allowed to pummel whoever is doing this?" Johnny asked, punching his own hand.

"The preliminary answer is yes. But I would prefer we try talking first." Danny-1 said.

"Babe, what does 'preliminary' mean?" Johnny asked Kitty.

"Preliminary means before we do anything. He means that with the information he has that we can hurt whoever took Shadow." Kitty answered her boyfriend. "But he doesn't know all the information so he's really saying maybe."

"Hey guys! Where are you?" Ron could be heard in the alley where Aranea dropped them off at.

"Over here." Danny-1 called out before turning to the two new ghosts. "This is the human we were talking about." He told them as Ron came to speed walk over to the group of ghosts.

"Hey, who are your new friends?" Ron asked as he got nearer to the group.

"I'm Kitty, and this is my boyfriend Johnny. We are joining you for this mission. The robber took our pet." She said to the blond human.

"That's despicable. Yeah, you can join, but only as Phantom's entourage." Ron said as he looked between the two new ghosts.

"Not a problem for us. As long as we get to fight whoever stole Shadow." Johnny said as he punched his hand again. "How are we going to get there?" He asked the three boys.

"We're gonna ride Charybdis near Axiom." Danny-1 told the biker. The said ectopi flew off of Ron's shoulder and grew while also grabbing everyone, including Johnny's bike.

"Warn a girl next time. I would have climbed on myself." Kitty said as Charybdis took off, turning invisible and intangible as they flew off.

"Sorry. I didn't tell Charybdis to do that." Danny-1 told the girl.

"Don't let it happen again, punk." Johnny said as he held onto both Kitty and his Bike.

"We won't." Both Danny-1 and Charybdis said in unison, not wanting to anger the biker.

"We'll be meeting up with the other members of our team midair." Danny-1 said to the group. "They're riding my other ectopi, Scylla, who's silver, and we'll land near where the robbery took place." He said to the group.

"Why are we not going straight to the robbery?" Johnny asked.

"Because, Kim and I can't be seen arriving with Phantom yet. It'll reveal Phantom's secret to everyone." Ron said to the biker. "I'm Kim's sidekick." He added.

"I don't think they needed to know that last part." Danny-1 told Ron. "Anyways, I don't want everyone knowing that I'm only half ghost because it'll get back to ghost hunters and they'll vivisect me." He explained to the two new ghosts.

"What's 'vivisect' mean?" Johnny whispered to Kitty.

"Cut up while alive." Kitty answered, Johnny looked horrified.

"Got it. We won't narc on you. As long as we get to pummel the person who took Shadow." Johnny said, releasing his hold on both Kitty and his bike to punch his hand. His bike almost fell off of Charybdis, but Danny-1 caught it with his telekinesis. "Thanks, dude." Johnny said as he took hold of Kitty and his bike again.

"No problem." Danny-1 said to the biker. "Sid actually taught me telekinesis." He told Johnny.

"Really now. So is that how he got his backing?" Kitty asked.

"Kinda. I told you that it was an accident, right? I didn't know what I was doing then. Why do you want a backing anyways?" Danny-1 asked the ghost girl.

"Because then we can't be controlled, except by who's backing us." Kitty said to the half ghost.

"Really? Sidney never told me that." Danny-1 revealed.

"You never asked. Also, the benefits for backing a ghost is that you can get their unique ability. I think that is how we both have the town sense power that evolved from my school sensing power." Sidney explained.

"Yeah, and if you back us, you can give anyone your power level or lower bad luck and/or banish them with a kiss." Johnny said to the half ghost.

"But the person can control you. Isn't that a bad reason for backing someone." Danny-1 said with a worried tone as he looked at Sidney. "I mean, if you get backed by someone, doesn't that mean you give up your freedom?" He asked the two new ghosts.

"It can, but since backing has to be consensual both ways, it's hard to find someone who would abuse the power." Johnny said to the half ghost.

"It doesn't seem to need informed consent, since again, I did it accidentally." Danny-1 said again. "Why do you want the backing of a complete stranger if backing is supposed to be about trust?" He asked the ghostly couple.

"Because you backed Sidney." Kitty told the halfa. "Nobody bad would back a geek like him. No offense Sid." She apologized to the green ghost.

"None taken. I know what I am." Sidney said to the ghost girl.

"Anyways, what my girl's trying to say is that we trust you not to take advantage of us and that we can still date, especially if those rumors of you are true." Johnny said to Danny-1, who listened intently. "So, will you think about backing us?" He asked the half ghost.

Danny-1 sighed. "Yeah, I'll think about it." He said in resignation. "How long were you planning to stay in the living world?" He asked the ghostly couple.

"I have a job at a mechanic shop, but we don't really have anywhere to stay in the living world. I don't want Kitty living on the streets, so we go back into the Realms at night." Johnny told the half ghost.

"How do you go in and out of the Realms? My mentor told me that portal makers are rare." Danny-1 said to the blond ghost.

"I challenged a Guardian's Challenge and got a piece for my bike that allows us to make small rifts in and out of the Realms. I can show you sometime." Johnny answered Danny-1's question.

"Good to know. I was planning on challenging some Guardians at some point." Danny-1 said to the blond ghost. "Are the rewards only bike pieces, or is it anything to open rifts?"

"It was one of those challenges that give you options for the reward." Kitty answered. "He chose the rift maker so he could take me on dates." She fluttered her eyes at Johnny, who chuckled and looked away from her.

"That's a good reason to choose a reward." Sidney spoke up.

"Yeah." Ron said. "I wish I had a girlfriend that I could take on dates." He said, slumping his shoulders.

"I'm sure you'll get one soon buddy." Johnny said comfortingly to Ron.

"We're nearing Axiom." Danny-1 said to the group. "Can you two fly?" He asked the ghostly couple.

"Yeah, even with my bike." Johnny answered. "Why?" He asked the half ghost.

"You two, Sidney, and I can't be seen with Ron at the moment. We'll meet with the other humans on the team at the place. It's part of my secret identity thing." Danny-1 explained to the ghost biker, who nodded in understanding.

"I thought you said we were meeting Kim and the others while we were in the air?" Ron asked.

"They're right next to us." Danny-1 said as Scylla and the others came into visibility.

"Woah, a silver ectopi? That's awesome!" Johnny exclaimed as he took in Scylla.

"Is that rare?" Danny-1 asked.

"Yeah." Kitty answered. "When spirit animals are named, they tend to be golden, like Charybdis. You found a powerful ectopi there." She said to the halfa.

"Good to know. Now, we should probably fly off of Charybdis now. We'll meet up at the labs." Danny-1 said and everyone on both Charybdis and Scylla nodded in understanding. The twins looked awestruck.

Danny-1, Sidney, Kitty, and Johnny flew off of Charybdis, Johnny was flying his motorcycle with Kitty sitting behind him and flew ahead of the two ectopi. Danny-1 and the group reached the labs and found carnage. Danny-1's ghost sense went off, pinging several ghosts in the area. Danny-1 used his town sense power to find out how many ghosts or spirits were in the area and found that most of them were spirit or ghost animals, and one human ghost.

"I think I found who's controlling the spirit and ghost animals." Danny-1 said to the group behind him. "They are underground, do you want to wait for the humans, or do you want to deal with them right now?" He asked.

"Let's do it now, humans can't normally fight ghosts, and I don't want them to hurt Shadow." Johnny said as he landed his bike.

"But wasn't the plan to wait for the humans to not blow your secret?" Kitty asked.

"Doing it on our own will actually help with that. We accidentally did it before with a group of spirits harassing some factory workers." Sidney answered the green haired ghost girl.

"That's fine then. Let's go." Kitty said as she got off of Johnny's bike.

"Good. Now remember, I want to try talking to them first, maybe they can be reasoned to and give up." Danny-1 said to the ghostly couple.

"You better make it quick. Because I don't think I'll hold back when they mess with Shadow." Johnny said, punching his hand once again.

"Okay. That's fair. As long as you give me the chance." Danny-1 told the biker. "Let's go to where they are, can that bike go intangible? I'm assuming that you don't want to leave it alone." He said to the blond ghost, who nodded. "Okay, let's go." Danny-1 flew into the building and the others followed suit.

"Why aren't we going underground? Isn't that where the leader is?" Johnny asked.

"I think it's better to relieve them of their army first so we can focus on the leader." Danny-1 said to the ghost biker.

"That makes sense." Kitty said before Johnny could say anything. "That way we don't have to fight Shadow and other pets of ghosts and spirits." She said, to which Johnny nodded to that.

"Good to see someone see the logic in what I'm doing." Danny-1 said to Kitty.

The group of ghosts encountered a pack of flaming horned dogs guarding a stairwell going down. Danny-1 doused them with ice then sucked them into the thermos that he pulled out of a portal.

"How'd you know that a hellhound's weakness was ice?" Johnny asked the half ghost.

"Seemed kinda obvious, luckily I have an Ice Core, or we might have trouble with them." Danny-1 told the blond ghost biker. "Good to know they were called hellhounds. Let's continue." He said as the group took the stairwell down.

At the bottom of the stairs to the next floor, there were green and purple dogs. Danny-1 tried the same trick but only got the green dogs. The purple dogs howled and grew in size to double their original.

"Any idea how to deal with these?" Danny-1 asked as the largest of the purple dogs lunged at him. Breaking the ice it was trapped in. He dodged it and blasted it with an ecto-ray.

"Nothing special, we just fight them." Kitty answered as she blew a kiss at one of the purple dogs. The dog disappeared in a puff of smoke.

"Yeah, these things are so annoying." Johnny said as he spun his motorcycle in a circle and hit another purple dog in the jaw. "Just fight them until they go back to their original size." He said as he crashed into the same dog he hit.

"Got it." Sidney spoke up. He held up a couple of the purple dogs in the air with his telekinesis. "Phantom, go ahead and blast these hard." He ordered.

"On it!" Danny-1 did as he was told and blasted the group of floating dogs with a strong blast of energy that shrunk the purple dogs that were still in the air. Danny-1 then sucked them up in the thermos. "Good thinking." He said as he did the same trick that Sidney did with the rest of the dogs in the stairwell and got them all back to their original size before sucking them into the thermos.

"That really was good thinking, Sid. Good job." Johnny said, patting Sidney on the back.

"Thanks guys." Sidney said with a blush.

"What were the purple dogs called?" Danny-1 asked, examining the thermos. 'I hope this does reach capacity before we reach the dog master.' He thought to himself.

"They are usually called 'Xeno's'. They might have an actual name, but I don't know it." Kitty answered Danny-1's question.

"Yeah, if Kitty doesn't know it, then I definitely don't." Johnny said. "How much longer is it till we find the ringleader of these dogs?" He asked as the group started going down the stairs again.

Danny-1 closed his eyes and focused on his town sense power and found that the Dog Master was just a floor below us. "Not much longer. We're close. They are probably using Shadow as a guard dog for where they are." He told the ghostly couple.

"That probably means we have to fight him." Sidney said sadly.

"You leave Shadow to me. I'll kiss him to make him disappear and make him reappear after we take down the ringleader." Kitty said to the green ghost boy.

"That's a good idea Kitty." Danny-1 said. "Didn't know you could make them reappear though." He added as they reached the door where the Dog Master was behind. "The Dog Master is behind this door, that means Kitty may need to use her powers to stop Shadow from hurting anyone." He said to the group, getting nods from all of them.

"Got it. So what's the order we are going in?" Kitty asked the half ghost boy.

"First me, then you to kiss away Shadow, then Johnny to back you up, and Sidney will be last. Is that fine?" Danny-1 asked the group, getting nods from all of them again. "Okay, let's go." He said as he opened the door and ran in with Kitty following after.

As planned, Shadow tried to attack Danny-1 but was kissed away by Kitty. Johnny rode in sending blasts at the walls, hoping to hit the Dog Master, but hitting what could only be the pack leaders of the diverse dogs the group faced on the way down there. Sidney raised the dogs in the air and Danny-1 blasted them with a powerful blast of ecto-energy before getting successfully sucked into the thermos.

All but one anyways, the green one didn't get sucked in. Danny-1 then froze the green dog to the ceiling to give Sidney some relief. Danny-1 turned to find the Dog Master preparing to blast the group, but Danny-1 froze them in place. The action dispersed the attack into nothing at all.

"I thought you were going to give us a chance to fight them?" Johnny asked when he noticed that the fighting was done.

"He said we can fight them if they don't respond well to talking." Kitty answered her boyfriend, who nodded at remembering that part.

"Speaking of talking." Danny-1 said as he walked over to the Dog Master. He removed the ice around their head. "Would you like to talk about why you broke into Axiom?" He asked the Dog Master.

"Why would I say anything to you?" The Dog Master asked angrily.

"You see those bikers behind me?" Danny-1 asked the Dog Master. "You stole their pet, and they hold a grudge." At this, the Dog Master looked scared. "They gave me a chance to talk to you and promised to not fight you if you respond well to talks. Do you understand?" Danny-1 got a nod. "Good. Now, why did you break into Axiom?"

"Because they killed all their security dogs and I wanted them to see what happens to people who senselessly slaughter good dogs instead of giving them new homes." The Dog Master answered.

"Okay. Now, is the power to control dogs your own or an artifact?" Danny-1 asked the Dog Master.

"An artifact. I won it from a Guardian's Challenge." The Dog Master answered.

Danny-1 looked at the frozen form of the Dog Master and found the artifact. He reached into the ice and pulled it from the Dog Master's grip. "I'll be confiscating this. You decided to cause trouble in my haunt, you're lucky I don't have them hurt you." Danny-1 got an influx of information on how to use the artifact after saying that.

"And nobody appreciates that more than I do, but could you at least get Cujo's toy that was walled in? He is how I knew of the senseless slaughter." The Dog Master said.

"Sure. Where is it?" Danny-1 asked the frozen ghost.

"It's behind the wall you froze me to." The Dog Master said.

Danny-1 heard that and went intangible and passed through the ice, ghost, and wall and looked to find the toy, which was right next to where he entered the wall. Danny-1 grabbed it and walked out of the wall. He held it up to the frozen ghost.

"Yes, that's it." The Dog Master said while nodding vigorously. "Thank you. That will mean so much to Cujo." They said to the half ghost.

"I guess Cujo is the big green dog I froze to the ceiling?" Danny-1 asked, getting a nod, Danny-1 turned off the artifact and used both his Ice powers and telekinesis to levitate the big green dog back to the ground. Cujo looked around and when he saw Danny-1 holding his toy, he shrunk to a puppy and hopped over to Danny-1. Danny-1 crouched down and gave the toy to the now small green dog. "Here you go Cujo." Danny-1 said as he petted the small dog.

"Thank you, now could you get me out of this ice? I'd really like to leave." The Dog Master said from his spot they were frozen to.

"Sure. Hey Johnny, does your rift artifact allow you to choose where the exit is?" Danny-1 asked the blond ghost biker.

"Yeah. Do you want me to send this fool to the empty space of the Realms?" Johnny asked the half ghost boy.

"Yeah, and all his dogs." At this, the Dog Master's eyes widened in terror.

Johnny got a terrifying smile on his face. "I can do that." He said as he pressed something on his bike and a rift opened in the center of the room.

Danny-1 grabbed the Dog Master, who was trying to reason with the group of ghosts to not do what they were planning. They were promptly ignored. Danny-1 pulled the Dog Master out of the ice and threw them in the rift. Danny-1 then released all the dogs he captured right after, which blasted the Dog Master further into the rift. After all of the dogs went in the rift, Johnny closed the rift after that.

"Should I release Shadow now?" Kitty asked the half ghost boy.

"Yeah, I already shut off the artifact. It could control any animal, they just focused on dogs for some reason." Danny-1 told the green haired ghost girl, who promptly released Shadow. Shadow rushed to Johnny and looked like he was weeping.

"It's okay Shadow. You weren't in control of yourself." Johnny consoled his pet.

"Aw man, did we miss all the action?" Jim spoke up from the doorway, looking around the room full of ghosts.

"Dang it." Tim said as he joined his brother.

"Seriously, you two need to learn how to listen." Kim said as she also entered the room. She looked and saw Danny-1 as Phantom. "Again, you steal my mission." She said in faux exasperation.

"Sorry, but I have a prevalence over Ghost and Spirit issues in this area." Danny-1 was playing along since the twins were here. He picked up Cujo and the toy.

"You should get rid of the ice." Danny-2 said as he entered the room with Ron and the ectopi.

"Right. I almost forgot." Danny-1 said as he snapped his fingers and all the ice disappeared from the room. "Let's get out of here." He told the group of ghosts. All of the ghosts with Danny-1 went intangible, but Cujo ran over to Danny-2 and Ron and sat down with the toy in his mouth.

"I guess he wants to stay here with us." Danny-2 said to the group of ghosts. He bent down to pick up the small green dog and the toy. "I'll see if I can keep him." He said as the ghosts flew up through the ceiling.

"Okay, be good with him." Danny-1 told Danny-2, who smirked as Danny-1 floated out of the room through the ceiling.

Danny-1 joined the group of ghosts high over the building, and they seemed to be arguing. Sidney was trying to de-escalate things. "It's just part of his secret okay. The two younger humans don't know the secret." Sidney said to the ghostly couple.

"May I ask what this argument is about?" Danny-1 asked the three ghosts.

"You didn't tell us you were a clone?" Johnny said on the seat of his bike.

"Technically, I'm the original. The human version of me was the clone, but I can turn human as well right now without turning my clone ghost." Danny-1 said to the group.

"Yeah, I saw it before we left my realm, which by the way, you two are happy to come live there if you want." Sidney offered. "There's plenty of houses to choose from." He said to spice up the offer.

"We'll take you up on that offer, Sid. Johnny, we have spoken that Phantom needs to keep his secret, if we want his backing, we have to respect that. Besides, clone or not, he wasn't a hindrance to getting Shadow back." Kitty explained.

"Why would me being a clone be a hindrance?" Danny-1 asked.

"Because your Core would also split, so each clone would have a different power set." Johnny explained.

"I haven't experienced that yet. Both clones can use my Ice Core at the same time, but I do have a second Core. It's a Nature Core." Danny-1 told the ghostly couple. "We think it's a halfa thing." Danny-1 added to the shocked faces of Kitty and Johnny.

"That would make sense if you can become human with two clones, but the Ice powers shouldn't work with both clones if you have two Cores. One clone should have Ice powers, and the other clone should have Nature powers." Kitty explained. "Also, if you were to back someone, shouldn't they have a more human form?" She asked, looking at Sidney.

"Sid did have a more human form before we solidified his core, maybe he can change into it?" Danny-1 wondered aloud. "Why don't you try Sid. We'll catch you if you fall from being a human." Danny-1 assured his ghostly friend.

"Okay." Sidney said as he closed his eyes and rings formed around his waist and went up and down respectfully. As they did so, Sidney turned into his more human form that he had before the Core solidification. He was still flying when the transformation was completed. "Wicked." Sidney said as he looked over himself.

"Yeah dude. You could totally pass as a human." Johnny whistled at the new transformation. "Now I really want your backing, Phantom." He said to the half ghost boy.

"I still need time to think about it." Danny-1 said, but he was thinking about doing it just to test out the new powers. "Are you positive you would keep your free will?" He asked Kitty.

"Yes, we would normally keep our free will 90 percent of the time, but it sounds like we would keep it closer to 99 percent with you if you're stuck on that." Kitty answered. "It would only happen if you said it with the intent to control us. Which might help in a fight if you can do it mentally." She added to the end.

"I should have an answer by tomorrow evening. I have a dinner party tonight that I want to be fully there for." Danny-1 said to the ghostly couple, who looked excited at hearing that. "Why did you mention fighting though?" He asked Kitty.

"Isn't the requirement for your backing that we have to help protect the town?" Kitty asked. "Isn't that why Sid is doing it?" She turned to Sidney.

"I'm doing it so I can be a superhero. He is not making me do it." Sidney cleared up the misconception.

"Yeah. You don't have to join us for patrols, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to have you as backup if we need it. Are you two fine with that?" Danny-1 asked the ghostly couple.

"Totally. As long as I can keep my job at the mechanics, you backing me would help greatly, because the guys I'm working with have been noticing that I don't look human." Johnny said, scratching the back of his head.

"Just give me till tomorrow for that decision." Danny-1 repeated to the blond biker. "If your job fires you, I can try and see if my parents will let you work for them. They need a mechanic for some of their inventions." He told Johnny.

"I would appreciate that if it happens." Johnny nodded at Danny-1's offer.

"Should we get you situated in my realm, or continue patrol?" Sidney asked the ghost couple. "That way you have a place to go at night." He said again.

"I kinda want to take Kitty on a date. Can we talk later?" Johnny asked, to which both Danny-1 and Sidney nodded, and the ghostly couple drove away in the air.

"You still want to go on patrol?" Danny-1 asked Sidney.

"Yeah, they know where my realm is." Sidney said to the half ghost boy.

Danny-2 and the group of humans walked out of the building to watch Danny-1 and Sidney fly off. "Looks like they are going on patrol now." Danny-2 said to the group.

"Aw man." Jim exclaimed.

"We wanted to get their autographs." Tim said

"If you want, I can get you their autographs." Danny-2 said to the twins. "They do work for my parents after all." He told them.

"Oh yeah. Kim is gonna work for them too, right?" The twins said in unison.

"Creepy, but it depends on what your parents say to my parents." Danny-2 said to the twins. "My mother wanted to talk to your and Ron's parents about that and the whole mission thing." He said, petting Cujo who was still in his arms.

"You think your parents will let you keep that dog?" Kim asked the half ghost clone boy.

"I'm sure, even if just to examine its behavior compared to a regular dog's." Danny-2 said to the redhead.

"If they don't let you keep it, do you think our parents will let us keep it?" Jim asked the half ghost clone boy.

"Yeah, it would be awesome to have a ghost dog as our pet." Tim said as he pumped his fist.

"That'll probably depend on how the dinner party goes tonight." Kim told the twins as she ruffled their hair. "Now, let's go home." She said as she started walking away from the building.

"Can we ride the ectopi?" The twins asked in unison.

"Sure." Danny-2 said as they went to the drop-off point.
