Chapter 4 - Inferno

Taking place in the kingdom of Inferno, which is now overthrown by Crystella, Prince Lynx and his army were searching the palace from top to bottom. They had no luck finding Edana. The Inferno army was being gated out of the palace. They were clueless of what they could do, for their general, Luna, was missing. Lynx and a couple of guards were in the throne room. "WHERE IS SHE!?" Screamed Lynx, knocking over a vase inside a glass case from a nearby table; causing it to Shadder on the floor. Everybody turned; looking at the mess. He hit his fists into a table, covering it with ice from the impact. He turned his head looking at a guard. "You!" He said, pointing his finger at him and turning around to face him. The guard approached him. "Your highness" He said, as he bowed his head down; then raising it to look at him. "Summon the head of the king now" said Lynx. He nodded and walked away. "Miller", Lynx called his general. "Your highness" He said, bowing the same way the guard did. "Are you certain nobody saw her leave after she entered?" He asked. "No, your majesty, I demanded the angels to tell me if they saw anything, and they told me they were certain she didn't leave the castle." "What if she did?" said Lynx, "what if she found a hidden way out, after all, it's a palace; like ours, it has many exits." "But, your majesty, our guards took down the inferno engels that were protecting the place. They then surrounded it just like you planned, and as I said, they didnt see her exit" "Don't you think we would've found that vermin by now? My whole army has been searching this place with no luck, so you can't be so sure about anything anymore." "What would you request me to do, your highness?" "Send a team of as many angels as you need to search the forest, if she managed to escape she most likely ran off there. After all, she couldn't have gone far on foot and a wounded wing." He waved his hand, dismissing Miller. Miller walked away and shouted to the angels in that room, "All of you, let's go!" He left the room with the angels following him. Lynx was alone in the throne room. He rubbed his face in frustration and walked towards the two thrones; eying the King's throne. Walking towards it, and started touching it's edges. It was soft and golden with beautiful designs of small swirls. It had red diamonds on the edges that stand out. He touched the red pad of the head rest and back rest feeling it's softness. He sat on the throne and stretched his arms on the arm rests, feeling powerful. He leaned his head back, and closed his eyes. He thought, "I'm going to have your head, Edana. I promise if i have to, I'll tear down this place to find you. I will find you and when I do, ima torture the ones you love and murder them, while I make you watch and before I do the same to you." He opened his eyes and caught something in the corner of them. He looked over at the vase he had knocked over and saw something glowing within the broken pieces of the vase. He leaned down and moved the pieces out of the way. And he saw it, it was a golden key with an eye marking on it. He immediately recognized it, but only as a fake object. He's seen images of this key in books. It's a key used to open the place where The Watcher is. Angels could never figure out how one can make A Watcher. It is known to be something impossible to make and angels have tried; there are books of their existence. Angels thought a mad angel created The Watcher. Lynx stood up holding The key. Even though he thought the key was fake, it gave him an energy that there's something to it; it felt real, "The Watchers aren't real" he said, and he threw the key. It slid across the smooth marble floor. He turned away from it. Suddenly, he started to hear a hum behind him. He turned back, looking at the key; the humming sound was coming from it and it was now glowing. He picked it up and walked back, but the key's glow dimmed. He stopped and went back to where it was glowing brighter, and it did. He knew the key was going to lead him somewhere, so he let the key show him where it wants to go. He ended up at a library; the key was glowing brighter when he held it to a shelf. He couldn't walk toward, but he knew there was something behind that shelf. He put the key down on a table and tried to find a lever or anything that could move the tall shelf. Looked up at the shelf and noticed a small book sticking out. He flew up towards it and pulled the book out. It was a fairytale book about the fairies that used to live among angels. He scoffed and put the book back. The shelf rattled, he went down to get the key and saw that part of the shelf had opened into a passage way. He looked inside and saw spiral stairs going down. Holding the key, he entered, it was dark with a few candles on the wall, not making it so dark. The stairs stop and he was in a long hallway with a black door at the end. The key was bright enough to enlighten the hallway as he walked though it. The black door had a gold key lock that also glowed. He figured it was the presence of the key. He unlocked the door and entered into the dark room. As soon as he did candles on the walls lit up. The room was dark and it had a red carpet. He couldn't believe it when he saw it. There was The Watcher in the center of the room. It was a huge mirror that had clear crystal edges. And the mirror itself didn't show a reflection, it was showing fire. "Ima find you sooner than I thought" said Lynx smirking evily.
