"Help! Help!" Eva mom ran down stairs, informing the rest of Eva's condition. Both Eva and Lizzy were instantly rushed to the hospital
"What is the diagnosis, doctor?" Fredrick asked, frantically looking into the eyes of the doctor for any good news while Eva's mom cried silently on the chairs. Luke stood by his dad waiting to hear what the doctor had to say, truth be told he was still shaken up by what happened earlier but he dared not utter a word. Who would believe him anyway?
"Well, the first girl, according to her files; Lizzy, if I am not mistaken, she lost a lot of blood but thankfully our team was able to attend to her on time. She's safe. it'll take a while to regain consciousness though but she'll be fine."
"Thank you doctor" Fredrick said finally able to breathe in relief.
"What of Eva?" Eva's mother pitched in
"Well… she is currently doing well but we do not have enough knowledge about what happened to understand completely what happened. But from our diagnosis, her body seemed to be under a lot of stress, physically and mentally, so much that her body started to give out, it shows here that her temperature was surprisingly high as well…too high for any human in fact. She's very lucky to even be alive"
"she is not human, that monster tried to hurt my sister" Luke said cutting the doctor off. The doctor stared at Luke for a second and smiled before speaking "You've got quite the imagination, young man. I know you love your sister but let's not lose our heads here. Personally, I think that girl is to beautiful to be a monster. She's a rare gem like any other."
"that is what everyone says, they don't see the devil that lies beneath that face" Luke yelled walking away
The doctor just stared at him in shock before facing his parents back "She will be alright, although we do not know when she will be awake"
Eva's mother covered her mouth trying to dampen her pained scream. She may not have openly cared about Eva, but the thought of losing the girl she took care of since she was a baby pass through all of this, scared her. After all, no matter how hard one tries, the bond between mother and child is something that can't be severed, not even by either one of them.
"excuse me" the doctor said before leaving them to their thoughts.
Fredrick turned to Rose with a puzzled expression "What happened?
"I don't know, Luke just bought Lizzy down bleeding, I ran up to understand what was going on, only to find Eva on the ground too" she said through her sobs
Fredrick thought for a while "What do you suppose happened? None of it makes sense at this point."
"I don't know as well. Lizzy has a scar and Eva just dropped, unconscious. There was nothing in the room that could've cut Lizzy arm in that way and Eva wasn't sick to have been able to lose consciousness like that. I don't think looking for who is guilty is the issue here, let's just hope their both okay" Rose replied.
Eva's eyes flashed open and she sat up with a jolt. She clutched her head. She couldn't remember anything and her she felt fuzzy. She looked around, everything was pitch black. "Am I dead or did I finally lose it?" she wondered. It seemed like a vast void. No one or thing. She was alone. Eva walked a bit not exactly sure what she was looking for. "where in the world am I?"
"H-hello?" Nothing
"…is anyone there?" still nothing.
"Great! I am trapped in a dark place and I don't even know how did I got here
Eva said looking around, but unable to see anything
"hello,… princess" a voice rang. Eva felt a chill in her spine and she jumped up, her heart pounding as she looked around, frantically searching for the source of the voice "W-who's there?" Eva asked.
"You can't see me. I just thought I'd say hi" the voice replied
"who are you?" Eva asked waking towards the voice with her hands in front of her, hoping her hands could feel him, "I am your guardian, Zeiran"
"Zeiran? that sounds like a demon name in fictional story books" Eva mocked
"I ought to have your tongue, mortal. If only you weren't the chosen one." Zeiran's voice came again but this time, with a deadly edge before he continued. "Well… I am a demon. It means 'Eternal flame'." Zeiran said with his voice, slightly stern.
"If you are my guardian, why am I just meeting you?" Eva rolled her eyes, not entirely believing what she was hearing. For all she knew, this could be a dream.
"You'll be able to see me once you come of age and wisdom (emphasis on the wisdom part). But I believe you're already quite familiar with me. Does the name "Eric" ring a bell?" Zeiran asked with a smirk. A bell appeared ringing to suit his humor.
Eva held her head in pain "why does that hurt?"
"My bad. Well, technically, this is the closest you can get to the divine realm. As per off of the connection you have with it, an extension of spirit realm in the physical world, exists in the deepest part of your subconscious, which you'll have access to-"
"-Once I come of age. I got that part. Just make it stop" Eva interrupted, Zeiran snapped his fingers and the bell disappears
"Are you responsible for-"
"Ah, ah, ah. Don't ask any questions, you can ask as much as you want after you come of age. Even I am not allowed to interfere with your life until then, unless I'm directly asked to. I am only just here to tell you to wake up or you will die"
"How do I wake up?" Eva asked with a hint of frustration on her voice.
"I thought I said no questions, just wake up"
"Just wake up, what do you mean-… hello… Zeiran… Hey!"
Eva sighed as turned around and saw an old man was behind her. L she stood in shock unable to move her legs, he smiled, she realized he had no teeth
"Let's play" he said with a huge smile, blood streaming down his eyes and ear.
"Aaaahh" Eva screamed waking up to find herself in the hospital.

She was sweating heavily and her heart beating rapidly, she touched her face and the rest of her body "it was a dream… a harmless dream" Eva said, trying to reassure herself.
"you wish" a voice spoke has a deep laughter filled the room, Eva held her ears trying to stop the echo of the laughter that seemed maddening
"are you ok?" the doctor came
Eva finally looked up, the laughter had stopped, she wiped her tears, "Y-yes I am"
"Well that is good to hear, did you remember anything that happened? Probably what made you lose consciousness?" that doctor asked trying to read her emotions but to her dismay she couldn't bring out anything from her face
"I don't remember anything. please can I go home?" Eva asked
"I will have to inform your parents about you, and run some test before I can dismiss you". Eva gave a nervous nod, her hands still shaking. She looked her hand and saw a writing "I thought I'd scare you awake. Hope it wasn't too much ;- ) " it vanished as soon as she read it and somehow, it calmed her.
"How is Lizzy?" She asked, turning to the doctor
"she is good, your parents already took her home so don't be worried, I will get the test started right away" the doctor said before leaving the room.
Eva wasn't, in the slightest, worried about her. She just had to know. Hopefully, Lizzy might be able to tell her what happened
After the tests were taken and results were crosschecked, Eva was dismissed. She told the doctor she had called her parents and that she'd take a cab home.
The doctor agreed, Eva wanted to walk home. she had a lot of things going on in her head and she knew she had to sort them out. For now, she just needed fresh air
Eva walked down the streets, straight home, she stared at the house for a while before proceeding to enter
She stood for a while realizing that someone was coming out the house. She instinctively his behind one of the cars. She caught what seems like the silhouette of a man and someone else. it was Frederick and…"who is that?"
