The morning seemed gloomy as the uncertain clouds shrouded over the city of Byzantium. Though that didn't stop the usual ordains of the people. Streets vendors carried on with their shouts of gaining buyers. Children ran through the slushy paths--Letting out soft giggles.
Though further in the wilderness of the forest--From the eyes of the city stood a man under an enormous tree--His eyes darted back and forth as he clasped his arms behind his back, waiting,
Soon--He heard the sound of footsteps, slow, unbearably slow--As if questioning themselves on why they were even here.
Flaytus looked at the dierection from above his shoulder--His lips curled into a soft smile--It was Eleanor, her blonde ringlets fluttered against the air--As she graciously walked to him.
Head lowered in a coy manner.
She then finally stood and glanced up at him--Her lips casted a slight pout. "You called for me, master Flaytus?" she asked.
Flaytus hadn't answered her question--He was busy watching her, his gaze traced her lips-at how effervescent they looked. Then swept through her neck that peeked out of her Nitmika (a veil )
Eleanor feeling the weight of his gaze and quickly looked to the ground once more. Seeing that--He cleared his throat and responded--"Yes, I did" his gaze than darted to the sky, I did... he murmured as if talking to himself.
Eleanor watched with curious yet timid gaze as he then began to step in closer--The space between them shrunk as both their breaths mingled--The air around was electric.
Flaytus then reached for her face--His thumb grazed her cheek--As he then leaned in, "from now on you will be working at my palace as my maid"
Eleanor's gaze shot up to him--His unrelenting hazel eyes seemed to never leave hers as he stared at her for a response. Eleanor's eyes then fluttered to the floor--This was master Flaytus, he didn't need to ask her--he didn't need her consent--Yet he waited.
She then nodded. Flaytus smiled in a slow victorious grin--Quickly masking it as she glanced up at him.
"Your duty starts tomorrow"--He then leaned in, "I hope you don't dissatisfy me" he murmured. He then turned and walked off.
Leaving Eleanor--Leaving her to contemplate. Dissatisfy...her face flushed, half of her didn't know what he meant by it--The other half--wanted to know--And that was the most dangerous of things.
She then walked off, her mind swirling in thoughts as questions emerged--Would Slav be there?
Her heart then ached--She had seen him, her Slav, her husband, how worried he looked, how his lips casted that bitter smile when she didn't even spare him a glance.
Forgive me Slav... her voice broke as she gazed at the sky, if master Flaytus got to know about them, tears pooled over her eyes at the terrible possibilities.
He wouldn't be very pleased.
