Chloe gasped as the mask fell off. In that moment of desperation, she could think of nothing but running away and hiding before her identity was exposed. She shoved the man away, sending him to stumble back onto the sofa, the mask slipping out of his grip.
"Uh," the woman beside him screamed and ran out.
Chloe picked up the mask and dashed toward the door.
"You bitch," the man shouted. "How dare you push me. Wait right there. I'll teach you a lesson."
Chloe paused momentarily to look back at him. When she saw him trying to rise again, panic shot up. Afraid that he could catch her, she hurried out.
"Hey, where do you think you are running away? Come back, or I'll make you regret it."
She heard his cry, but she didn't dare look back this time. She quickened her pace. As she crossed the corridor, she noticed a group of men in black suits moving briskly. Covering her face under the mask, she lowered her head and slipped away.
