Chapter 12 - The Eraser and the Ink

The void wasn't just white; it was violently boring.

It was the kind of whiteness that made you want to check if your texture assets had failed to load.

"I can't step anywhere!" Kazuma panicked, doing a frantic swimming motion in the nothingness. "Where is the floor collision?!"

"Use your Ki to fly, you incompetence incarnate!" Vegeta snapped, hovering perfectly alongside the Dragon Ball and flying characters.

"I DON'T HAVE KI!" Kazuma screamed, grabbing Aqua's floating scarf. "I have 'Steal' and 'Create Water'! Neither helps me fly!"

Ahead of them, The Architect (Aizen + Madara + Yhwach + Blackbeard) loomed like a dark god against the sketchbook background. The brush in his hand dripped liquid darkness that hissed when it touched the nonexistent ground.

Behind him, Eri-chan was trapped in a cage of glowing kanji text.

[REJECTED PLOT DEVICE: THE GIRL WHO REWINDS TIME]

Her Rewind Quirk was flaring, sending ripples of "Undo" energy through the dimension, keeping the deletion wave from totally consuming everything. But she was crying.

"Eri-chan!" Deku shouted. Green lightning—One For All: Full Cowling 100%—crackled around him. "I'm coming!"

"Pathetic," The Architect sneered. "The main character rushes in blindly. Predictable writing."

He swiped the brush.

Stroke of Darkness.

A tidal wave of black ink—dense gravity combined with darkness fruit power—surged forward. It wasn't just an attack; it was a "Narrative Erasure." Whatever it touched turned into a rough sketch, then vanished.

"Detroit... SMASH!"

Deku punched the wave.

The ink didn't disperse. It wrapped around Deku's arm.

His arm turned into pencil lines.

"My arm!" Deku gasped. "I can't feel it! It feels... 2D!"

"Get back!" Gojo flashed forward. Infinity.

The ink hit Gojo's barrier.

Splaaash.

It coated the invisible wall, staining it. The Infinity barrier started to crack—lines of white-out appearing on it.

"My Infinity..." Gojo pulled down his blindfold completely, revealing the Six Eyes shining like dying stars. "He's not attacking the space. He's editing the layer logic. He's using admin privileges."

"Darkness Liberation!" The Architect laughed. Blackbeard's Quake power mixed with Yhwach's Almighty. "The Future is mine to edit!"

He swung the brush horizontally.

The horizon split.

Reality cracked.

"Everyone, brace!" Captain America raised his shield.

BOOM.

The shockwave sent the non-flyers tumbling into the abyss.

Kazuma, Aqua, Kobeni, and Usopp spun away like trash in a tornado.

"This is the final battle?!" Usopp wailed. "I want to go back to the Horror Zone! At least there was a floor!"

Phase 1: The Color Wars

"Okay," Goku cracked his neck. He ripped off the tatters of his school uniform from Zone 3. "This guy is writing the rules? Then we just gotta break his pencil!"

"Don't be metaphorical, Kakarot!" Vegeta flared up. "Just hit him!"

Goku and Vegeta charged.

Anos Voldigoad walked casually through the air, sword summoned.

Saitama looked at the giant Ink Brush. "That looks expensive."

The Architect smirked.

"Truth-Seeker Orbs: Editorial Form."

Black orbs floated around him. They shifted shape—into erasers, scissors, and white-out bottles.

"BAN KAI."

The Architect released his sword. Kyōka Suigetsu: Infinite Tsukuyomi Edition.

The void shifted.

Suddenly, they weren't in the white space.

They were in... McDonalds?

"Illusion!" Tanjiro sniffed. "The smell of burgers is fake! It smells like ink!"

"My McFlurry!" Saitama gasped, reaching for a phantom cup. "It melted!"

"Wake up!" Genos fired an incineration cannon, blasting the illusion away. "Sensei, it is genjutsu!"

Back in the Void:

The Architect was right in front of them.

"Limbo!" He projected invisible clones.

Wham. Wham. Wham.

Goku was punched by nothing.

Vegeta was kicked by nothing.

Anos simply tilted his head as an invisible clone struck his neck. It did nothing.

"Did a ghost try to massage me?" Anos asked.

"Insolent Demon!" The Architect roared. "Black Vortex!"

Blackbeard's gravity pulled Anos in. Madara's Susanoo formed around the Architect—a massive, skeletal samurai armor made of calligraphy ink. It raised a sword the size of a skyscraper.

"Narrative Slash: The End of the Chapter!"

The giant sword swung down on the entire party.

"Deflect!" Naofumi jumped in front. Shooting Star Shield!

The green barrier expanded.

The ink sword hit the barrier.

The impact shook the conceptual framework of the fanfiction itself.

(Author's Note: The screen literally shakes for the reader.)

"It's heavy!" Naofumi gritted his teeth, blood leaking from his lip. "He's hitting me with the weight of a scrapped ending!"

"I'll handle the sword!" Mash Burnedead leaped up.

Mash grabbed the ink blade with bare hands. The ink tried to erase him. Mash's muscles flexed so hard they existed in 4 dimensions, rejecting the erasure.

"Break," Mash mumbled.

He snapped the giant ink sword.

Ink rained down like oil.

"WHAT?!" The Architect's Rinnegan widened. "A gag character defying plot armor?!"

"Now!" Naruto (Six Paths Mode) appeared behind The Architect. "Super Tailed Beast Rasenshuriken!"

Nine different elemental attacks spiraled towards the villain.

"Useless!" The Architect activated The Almighty. "I have already seen this future and broken your—"

Squelch.

A piece of gum hit The Architect in the eye.

"My eye!" The Almighty vision blurred. "Who throws gum at a god?!"

Saitama stood on a floating fragment of scenery. He was blowing a bubble.

"It lost its flavor," Saitama said.

The distraction was enough.

"NOW!" Luffy stretched his arm. Gear Fifth. Giant White Form. He grabbed the surrounding "white space" and rubberized it. "Gomu Gomu no... SCENE TRANSITION!"

Luffy pulled the background like a curtain, wrapping the Architect in the scenery itself.

"He's wrapped!" Ichigo Kurosaki (Bankai: True Tensa Zangetsu) flashed forward. "Getsuga... TENSHO!"

Black and red energy tore through the wrapped villain.

The Architect exploded into a cloud of ink.

Phase 2: The Draft Awakens

Silence in the Void.

"Did we win?" Zenitsu peeked out from behind a floating rock.

The cloud of ink swirled.

It didn't dissipate. It coalesced.

It formed a new shape. No longer human.

A towering monstrosity of scribbles. No defined face. Just angry, scratching lines of charcoal and despair.

THE FINAL BOSS: THE DELETED DRAFT.

"YOU... CANNOT... ERASE... ME..." The voice was screeching metal. "I... AM... THE... ORIGINAL... IDEA..."

The creature grabbed the boundaries of the webnovel.

It began to tear the borders of the screen.

[SYSTEM ERROR]

[THE 4TH WALL IS BREAKING]

"He's attacking the UI!" Kirito shouted. "My menu is glitching! I can't see HP bars!"

The Draft lunged at Eri-chan's cage.

"I WILL CONSUME THE REWIND! AND RESTART THE GENRE!"

"No!" Mirio Togata (Lemillion) phased through the chaos, reaching for the cage. "ERI!"

But The Draft was faster. A claw made of pure rejection slammed Mirio away.

"Save... me..." Eri cried, glowing brighter.

The Rewind energy exploded.

Zone 7 shattered.

Phase 3: The Retcon Wave

Light swallowed them.

When they opened their eyes, they weren't in the Void.

They were... back at the start?

Chapter 1.

Location: The Junk Mountain.

"We're back?" Kazuma blinked. "Did we die? Did Subaru activate?"

"No," Gojo looked around. "This isn't the past. It's a bad reboot."

The junk mountain was different. Everything was darker. edgier.

The sky was red.

And standing on top of the trash heap was... them.

Dark Goku. (Goku Black visuals).

Evil Saitama. (With hair?).

Villain Deku. (Wearing a suit).

"Welcome," The Draft's voice echoed from the sky. "To the Edgy AU."

"Evil clones?" Vegeta scoffed. "How original."

Dark Vegeta stepped forward. He wore leather pants and eyeliner.

"It's not a phase, 'Father'. It's my true self."

"Kill me," Vegeta whispered. "Someone kill me before I have to fight that."

"They have our moves," Jin-Woo noted. His shadow army was shivering. "But twisted."

Dark Jin-Woo raised his hand. "Arise."

Zombie skeletons rose up. But they were on fire.

"Fight your shadows!" The Draft commanded. "If you defeat your worst selves... maybe I'll let the girl go."

Asta looked at his dark reflection.

Dark Asta had magic. Lots of it.

"I HAVE MAGIC!" Dark Asta sneered, casting a generic fireball. "AND I GAVE UP!"

Asta stared.

"YOU GAVE UP?! THAT'S LAME!"

Asta charged. He didn't even draw his sword. He headbutted Dark Asta.

CRACK.

Dark Asta fell over.

"Weak!" Asta yelled. "Magic without muscle is just sparkly lights!"

"He one-shot his clone," Anos clapped slowly. "Amusing. My turn."

Anos looked at Dark Anos.

Dark Anos was trying too hard. He had too many belts.

"You lack style," Real Anos stated.

Dark Anos disintegrated from pure embarrassment.

"They're caricatures!" Sora realized. "The Draft is writing them poorly! They have no depth! Focus on your character development!"

"Character development?" Kazuma looked at Dark Kazuma.

Dark Kazuma was rich. Handsome. Heroic. And had a harem.

"I hate him," Kazuma said with pure malice. "I will destroy him."

Kazuma used Steal.

He stole Dark Kazuma's wallet.

"You have money?!" Kazuma screamed. "DIE!"

It was a massacre. The clones crumbled under the weight of the original heroes' baffling personalities.

"NO!" The Draft shrieked from the sky. "MY GRIMDARK REBOOT! IT'S POLLING POORLY!"

The illusion of Chapter 1 cracked.

They fell back into the White Void.

The Architect (The Draft's Avatar) reformed, looking weaker. Panting.

"I have one card left," The Architect hissed.

He looked at the Seven Reality Anchors the team had collected (held by various members).

"The Anchors... converge them."

He snapped his fingers.

The Reality Anchors flew out of the heroes' hands.

The Toast. The Glitch Sword. The Armor. The Behelit.

They spiraled into the center of the void.

They merged.

[SYSTEM ALERT]

[CONVERGENCE COMPLETE]

[SUMMONING: THE AUTHOR'S AVATAR]

A brilliant golden light shone.

A figure descended.

It was a small dog.

Wearing a beret.

Typing on a floating laptop.

"A dog?" Saitama asked.

"WOOF." (Translation: "Deadlines are approaching.")

"It's the Plot Entity!" Pux the Guide screamed. "We summoned the Deadline Dog! It destroys everything to finish the story!"

The Dog began to type rapidly.

[Text appears in the sky: "AND THEN, THE WORLD EXPLODED."]

A timer appeared.

[END OF STORY IN: 30 SECONDS]

"He's rushing the ending!" Kirito panicked. "It's the Axed Ending scenario! We have to stop the typing!"

"I got this!" Goku went Ultra Instinct.

"I got this!" Saitama got Serious.

"I got this!" Asta went Devil Union.

They all rushed the Dog.

The Dog barked. [RETCON BARK]

A shockwave of "Actually, that attack missed" hit them.

They missed.

"Logic manipulation!" Anos analyzed. "The Author is protected by creative license."

"Then we use bad reviews!" Kazuma shouted. "Everyone! Yell your complaints!"

"THE POWER SCALING IS BROKEN!" Vegeta yelled.

"THERE'S TOO MUCH FILLER!" Naruto yelled.

"WHERE IS SEASON 2?!" The No Game No Life siblings screamed in unison.

The criticism hit the Dog. The typing slowed.

"Now!" Deku yelled. "Tanjiro! Use the Anchors' residue power!"

Tanjiro smelled the Opening Thread—the line of smell that connected the Dog to the Draft.

"Hinokami Kagura! The 13th Form!"

Tanjiro severed the connection between the Deadline Dog and The Architect.

The Dog vanished in a puff of "To Be Continued."

The Draft was exposed.

Vulnerable.

Naked.

Just a sketch without an author.

"Time to edit," Saitama pulled back his fist.

All heroes charged at once.

Gomu Gomu no...

Detroit...

Serious...

Rasengan...

Excalibur...

Magicless...

...OMNI-FINISHER!

They hit the sketch.

The Draft screamed as it was colored in by the combined energy of 23 universes. It gained definition. It gained a face.

A happy face?

"I... am... finished?" The Draft whispered.

And then it burst into confetti.

Eri's cage shattered.

Deku caught her.

"I got you!"

"The portal home!" Rimuru shouted, pointing at a stable, golden rift opening where the creature died. "Vector Prime is stabilizing! We can go back!"

"Lunch time!" Luffy cheered, stretching towards the light.

"Finally," Saitama sighed. "Maybe the supermarket in Z-City is still open."

One by one, the heroes jumped into the light.

[LOGGING OUT...]

Epilogue: Tuesday Afternoon

Saitama stood on the street in Z-City.

The samurai-Godzilla monster was still dead on the pavement.

His bag of eggs was gone.

Genos landed next to him.

"Sensei," Genos said, systems rebooting. "I appear to have missing memory data for the last four hours. And my internal clock is synced to a fantasy dimension."

Saitama checked his pocket.

He found a receipt.

From the Abyssal Lawson. One yen.

He smiled.

"It was a weird dream, Genos."

"Did you get the cabbage, Sensei?"

"No." Saitama looked at the sunset. "But I punched a drawing. Let's get udon."
