FEW DAYS LATER......
April woke up in the morning dressed in a slitted knee length floral print summer gown and a pair of sneakers with her hair styled in a messy bun. It's summertime already and with hot weather who would dare put on thick clothes.
"April?" Where are you going this morning? You're supposed to rest in bed."
"Aunt Sophie, I'm fine now. I'm only going to the hospital for a proper check up, I should start preparing myself to know how to care for my baby." April rubbed her belly slightly with a smile.
"You really want to keep the baby? It's not too late to—."
"Aunt Sophie, what are you saying? It's not the baby's fault it had to come like this, so why should I get rid of it."
"I'm just worried about you, your studies and future career plans, this is too risky."
"Getting rid of the baby is even more risky besides it not the solution to my problems. I'm still at my youthful age which makes it a little better to cope with. when I give birth and nurse for 6 months, it should be enough to look for a job."
"Alright, be careful out there, okay? If there's anything you need don't forget to call me."
"I will." April then left the house swiftly.

Meanwhile, Lucas Brook, heir to the LP Group business empire founded by his grandfather and an owner of his own business LX Investments is currently facing trouble at work.
"Boss, this is the seventh time Chairman is calling this morning, he asks for your attention immediately. He also sent a list of date scheduled for you to attend. What should I do?" Andrew announced.
"Give him a call." Lucas ordered with his eyes on the tablet in his hand.
"What an ungrateful grandson! Is this how you'll repay me for raising you? Don't I deserve to see my reward." Chairman Brook screaming in his old age voice immediately Lucas puts the phone on his ear.
"You're already seeing the reward, I work tirelessly day and night just to get the reward, you get an update for it everyday." He answered in his cold thick voice.
"That's not the reward I want right now, I want you to get married and have children, is that too much to ask for?"
"Grandfather, I'm busy. If there's nothing else to discuss, I'll end the call now."
At this point, Lucas was already tired of listening to the same conversation over and over again.
"Have you forgotten that I'm still the chairman and I get updates on your schedules. If you're not ready to get married, then I'll look for one—."
Toot... Toot…. Toot…...
Lucas ended the call without allowing his grandfather to finish his words.
This is the only problem he has right now, even if he's one of the richest men globally, he constantly receives calls and complaints from his grandfather pestering him to get himself a girlfriend and get married soon. Meanwhile his mother is also pestering him to get married to the one of the most famous fashion model in America which is against his will.

After hours of waiting in line and getting multiple tests done, April came out of the doctor's office after getting the pregnancy test done and receiving medicine prescriptions for pregnancy care.
Now that she's pregnant, she has to be very careful with what she eats as warned by the doctor.
As she makes her way down the stairs carefully, an old man was finding it difficult to walk the stairs, so she offered to help.
"Sir, let me help you, careful there." April holds the old man's hand carefully helping him.
"Thank you, young lady." The old man said with smiles as they descended the stairs together.
As soon as they finished descending the stairs together, April turned to the old man to say goodbye, but the old man suddenly held his chest in pain and fainted in her arms.
"Someone, Help! Help! The Old man…"
"Sir? Sir?"
The nurses quickly rushed over with the stretcher to help the old man move to the ER.
"What's your relationship with the Old Man?" One of the nurses asked while holding some documents in hand.
"He…. he… he's, my grandfather." April stuttered before she could answer that question because she had just met him and doesn't know much about him and he has to be attended to immediately, so she replied that way till they can get a hold of his family.
"Ok, fill this form, submit all necessary documents and make payment for the bills." The nurse instructed.
April quickly filled the necessary documents and rushed to pay the bills but the money in her account was the last of the money she had saved.
She thought about it for a while before deciding to pay the bills for the old man.
Hours Later, one of the nurses that attended to the old man came and informed April that his condition has stabilized and he's now awake.
Her face brightened at once and rushed to see the man.
She rushed into the ward and saw the old man already awake and was speaking to a man putting on a black suit along with a business bag.
April approached him with smiles, happy to see him doing well. Immediately the old man saw her, he smiled and quickly called for her to come closer.
"Young Lady, thank you for saving me earlier." The old man smiled.
"Sir, I'm glad you're feeling better."
"This is butler Finch; he works closely with me and helps me handle important matters." The old man introduced his butler before he revealed his identity to April.
"By the way, I don't know your name yet, I'm Mr. Brook but you can call me Grandfather."
April didn't expect this level of familiarity with old man Brook, so she hesitated at first. Old man noticed and decided to break the silence.
"I'm looking forward to getting along with you." Old man Brook laughed heartily.
"Yes, Grandfather Brook, my name is April Carter." She smiled.
"You have a really nice name, are you perhaps married?" Old man Brook asked with curiosity in his tone.
April took a while before she answered him in a solemn voice since it wasn't something she was proud of.
"Yes, Grandfather. I am– married." She lowered her head immediately she answered old man Brook. Within her she didn't want to have anything to do with Jake Steele, but what could she do now that she's powerless before him.
