Few days have passed but old man Brook's heart remains with April Carter. He couldn't stop thinking about the small time they shared together.
Just the perfect features he wanted his grand daughter in law to have. While still smiling in his study as he watched the Tv show, Butler Finch entered in rush.
"Master, I've made inquiries about what you asked me. Everything about her is in there." Butler Finch handed the brown envelope to old man Brook.
"Master, one more thing. Few weeks ago, something happened, and it appears miss April Carter is pregnant."
"Of course, she's pregnant. Since she's married, it's a blessing to the family." Old man Brook sighed immediately he was told. He never expected her marriage to have gone that far but he was still happy for her.
"Master, the truth is, the child miss April Carter is carrying belongs to Young Master Lucas."
"What? What do you mean? Explain!" Old man Brook demanded immediately he couldn't understand the reason why April would be carrying Lucas's child while she's married to someone else.
Did he have an affair with a married woman? How could he have done that? Old man Brook's thought was already running wild.
"From what I've gathered, miss April happens to have been accidentally inseminated instead for someone else. She wasn't informed until after she got pregnant." Butler Finch revealed.
"Young master Lucas already dealt with the doctor immediately but–."
"But what! Explain clearly!" Old man Brook flared up in anger.
"But the actual arrangement for the insemination was under the name of Miss Lynn Carter, the young lady Madam Brook has been pushing as a potential marriage candidate for Young master Lucas."
"How dare she! Summon her here immediately! I need to see how brave she can be in my presence." Old man Brook ordered in a frown.
While Butler Finch was on his way to summon Madam Brook, the only daughter in law old man Brook has, given that he has two children, Lucas's father and a daughter who is currently in her husband's house.
Judith Brook is currently in the household store, instructing the house helps to arrange the food items ready for dinner.
"Madam Brook, old Master asks for your presence immediately."
"Is that so? But I'm getting ready to make dinner. If he has any requests for a special dish, tell him I'll consider it after I finish cooking. I'm sure it can't be more important than feeding the family, can it?" Judith scoffed inwardly.
"With all due respect Madam Brook, Old master's summon is not a request, he orders for you to see him immediately."
"Fine, I'll go. I'm sure he's just trying to make up some excuses to trip me off." Judith loosened the apron on her waist and made her way to old man Brook's study not knowing what was awaiting her.

Old man Brook was frowning when Judith entered the office rolling her eyes before bowing slightly to greet her father-in-law in a nonchalant manner.
"Father, you asked to see me?"
"How dare you!" Old man Brook flared up in anger slamming the table that got Judith trembling as her eyes widened in shock.
"Fa-father, I don't understand what you mean."
"Very good! You still dare to remain bold. Let's see how long that last." Old man Brook stood up from his chair and walked close to her with a picture in his hand.
Judith trembled even more when she saw her father in law stood up from his chair in a frown. Wondering what she could have done.
"Because of you! because of you another woman's marriage is about to be ruined. How dare you lie with that mouth of yours." Old man slammed the picture to her face.
"Fa-father, father, I really don't know anything about it. I didn't do anything wrong, please believe me." Judith quickly knelt.
"Do I need to spell it out before you know your mistakes? Lynn Carter? The woman you hold as potential daughter in law."
Immediately old man Brook mentioned Lynn's name, Judith's eyes widened in shock. Could the old man have caught a whiff of the sperm donor? She quickly regained herself again pleading on her knees. She knew very well old man Brook is much more capable of finding out but not this soon.
"Since you still don't know about the issue, I'll gladly help you regain your lost memories."
"Lock her up in her bed chambers, till she can remember what she did." Old man Brook ordered.
"Father! Father! I know nothing about it. I'm telling the truth." Judith pleading holding onto old man Brook's trouser before Butler finch caught a hold of her hands.
"Madam Brook, please behave yourself this is master's study." Butler Finch struggling to keep her voice down.
"Judith! If anything happens to that girl, consider yourself already a dead human." Old man Brook screamed before Judith was dragged away to be locked up immediately.
Old man Brook sighed in worry for April's marriage. Now that he has found out about everything, next step needs to be taken to settle any disputes.
Soon, Judith was thrown into her bedroom and locked up with two huge bodyguards by the door.
She quickly brought out her phone dialing Lynn's number.
"Hello! Lynn, we can't give up now. We both need to make our next plans workout."
"Aunty, I've had enough of this rubbish. Can you believe how Lucas humiliated me in front of everybody. I was embarrassed." Lynn Carter frowned.
"If not because of that b*tch, Lucas and I would be getting married by now. I think I should just give up."
"What do you mean give up? Are you telling me to accept that illegitimate child as my grandchild. It's not possible. You're the only daughter in law I'll ever accept into this family." Judith declared.
"Now that the girl is even married, we can't let that old man settles the dispute against us trying to ruin our long-time plan. We need to do something to get rid of her." Judith frowned.
"I'm currently locked up in my own bedroom; I'm leaving this matter to you. If there's anything you need, I'm always here to support you." Judith assured Lynn who is reconsidering.
She knows Lucas doesn't love her but due to her mother and madam Liu's relationship as they push the marriage arrangements she has to obey them.
Not like she also doesn't have interest in the marriage talks but Lucas's attitude towards her makes her lose her mind.
